Sorry for the confusion. Yes, I was talking about two different elections. Re: what I was saying: I was saying all those things (and the last point when it comes to languages I don't know very well). Re: trend in Europe. Yep, it is worrying, but, the polls still point towards a Socialist victory in France, and Merkel's party is losing its grip in state elections. The Dutch government on the other hand fell because Geert Wilders didn't support the budget because of his opposition to Europe. |

Yeah, you just knew the knowledge was flowing at you, when you heard the familiar chirp of bits and bytes coming through the dial-up :) |

Parents have it easy as hell these days. When I was younger and we couldn't get near one of those buildings with the Dewey decimal system, we asked our knowledgeable parents. The lads that have kids still call me to Google shit for them. Fowler help their young'uns when the 'net's down. Edit: Tyler and Chris are going to have to decide who gets to keep the avatar and who finds a new one. I vote Tyler finds a new one. ^_^ This post has been edited by ThisIsAnfield on Apr 25 2012, 09:47 AM |

Fuck. I just noticed that, when reading a book, my eyes occasionally wander to the top-right corner of the page (b/c I do that when reading on my computer or phone to look at the time). Re: libraries. As a kid, my brother used to keep all kinds of stats e.g. tennis grandslam winners over the years. He'd get really happy if an article mentioned winners of years past and would excitedly enter that new bit of information into his notebook. He stopped doing that when we got a library membership. Saw him both at Lollapalooza '95 and, later, at Varsity Arena. The opening act that night was The Roots. |
