Houston is officially out, they got slaughtered 3 to nil, in Cancun versus Atlante.

therefore, if the LimpAct hold on to their slim lead, they will be facing the same guys from their group.

who creates these seedings. pure shit.

Colin Clark and the Islanders withstanding the Marathon pressure so far , 0-0 first half , can they do it for another 45 ?
Scrappy end to this one , assistant coaches being thrown out , PR adding up the yellow cards , Addlery scores late 1-0 for Puerto Rico in the dying minutes ,
4 minutes stoppage , Concacaf ref calls it at 5:20 <_<

Cruz Azul is also in there, as they knock off UNAM 1 to nil, as well.

tonight, will truly be the big test for LimpAct. can they stave off the mexican dominance on their soil and recover from their 2 to nil deficit. if so, the semis, i guess will be dubbed the USL international (outside of usa) v. mexico semis.

Advanced so far,

Atlante
Puerto rico
Cruz Azul

still pending,

Santos Laguna/LimpAct

Sad news for the Marco Velez Islanders

Okay WTF?

First off: what the hell happened to the away goals rule?

Second off:

QUOTE
Cesar Villaluz scored nine minutes into injury time to secure a 3-1 victory for Cruz Azul

Did the Velez's forget to pay their Warner tax or something? That must mean 9 minutes into extra time not injury time, right?

Googled it and doesn't apply to extra time:

2.3 Tie-Breaker Procedures

In the event two teams are tied on aggregate goals scored at the end of Regulation time in the 2nd Leg (Preliminary Round or Championship Stage) or on points (Group Stage) the following tie-breaker criteria shall be applied, in order, to determine the winning team or ranking of teams.

Phase 1: Preliminary Round and Phase 3: Elimination Round

- Greater aggregate number of away goals scored in regulation time in the two matches (excluding any goals scored in overtime)
- Greater number of goals scored in the overtime periods at the end of the second match
- Kicks from the Penalty Spot procedure (as per FIFA Laws of the Game)

away goals in regulation time can be an issue in itself...
there's pros and cons

away goals in extra time are just useless...
it gives a highly unfair advantage
either you do away with the away goals in extra time
or you get rid of extra time and go directly to penalties (I mean you already played 180mins of deadlock by that point anyway)

that night i couldn't find a stream for the game, soo, i was ticker watching on a few sites. well, none of them could explain the NINE MINUTES OF INJURY TIME :o , until i read the CONCACRAP news (ticker sites normally stop at 90, then after the finalwhistle its concluded a final, without the addition of injury time.

did someone get shot on the field or something???

same ole CONCACRAP REFEREES, always cheating.

only in the CONCACRAP, south of the rio grande would a referee add nine minutes of fuckin time to a tight scoring match. screams of Tim Donaghy, NBA referee. some high stakes must have been on the line.

however, i like the idea of the Warner Tax. it must have been defaulted and Puerto Rico had to suffer the consequences.

what a fuckin joke CONCACRAP referees are!!!!

ahh what the fnck, i'll add this blurb because nothing surprises me anymore with these CONCACRAP refs south of the Rio Grande.

here we go, Laguna beach won their first leg against Atlanta 2-1. on the return leg, Laguna antes up the score early on and makes the aggregrate 3-1. Atlanta follows up with a goal of their own, not once, not twice, but THRICE and guess when?????? IN INJURY TIME ON A PK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 minutes into injury time, CONCACRAP ref awards a spot kick to the home team and of course, converts it.

http://www.concacaf.com/view_article.aspx?id=4702

RED ALERT!!!
CALLING ON FIFA,
PLEASE END THE MADNESS IN THIS CONFEDERATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what a continuing, fuckin joke CONCACRAP refs have become and probably wouldn't doubt they are affiliated to NBA ref Tim Donaghy. sounds like a profitable business throwing $$ome games around. ;)
