| Mitchell tweaks his lineup November 14, 2008 at 3:35 PM EST Coach Dale Mitchell has mixed some new faces in with veterans for Canada's Nov. 19 World Cup qualifying match against Jamaica. Captain Paul Stalteri will earn his 74th cap, third most in Canadian Soccer Association history, in the match to be played in Kingston. Among the new faces will be Simeon Jackson, who is making his debut with the national team, and former Canadian u-20 players of the year David Edgar and Asmir Begovic. Canada, which has an 0-3-2 record in CONCACAF qualifying, has already been eliminated from participating at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Canada drew 1-1 Aug. 20 against Jamaica. Canada will arrive in Jamaica on Sunday and begin training on Monday. |
