It looks like the fallout over Canadian head coach Dale Mitchell is going to get worse before it gets any better.
According to an interview on a German website, Rob Friend has decided not to play for Canada until the Mitchell regime has reached its conclusion.
"I've been travelling all around the world lately. It's exhausted me and got me nowhere. I don't see any future for myself at Canada with Dale Mitchell in charge," he told BILD.com. |
That's three strongly-worded, public criticisms of D-Mitch now, and two players who won't suit up for him any more...

Figures, cuz he's having a helluva season isn't he?

Brennan, DeRo, and now Friend.
Well then...It seems that the only people who think that Mitchell should keep his job are Mitchell himself and the CSA.
What a disgrace.

So Stephen Hart gets us to the Gold Cup semi-final, where he loses on a questionable refereeing decision but is resigned to assistant to Dale Mitchell who can't score a goal at home in the U20 World Cup, and fails to win a game in the group stage of WCQ. Does it really take a scientist, or hell even a grade 1 student to choose which coach is better?

+1
How can we figure this out, but the Canadian Soccer Brains can't?

It's called auto-fellatio, Brando...at this point, they're just blowing themselves.

Auto-fellatio? That takes a lot of skill man, aren't you giving them too much credit?
Circle-jerk would be more appropriate.

I don't think any of them have been in the same room for years.
So I'll stick with auto-fellatio. If there's one thing the CSA has plenty of skill at, it's sucking.
