It was on Fox Soccer Channel...
Vancouver ended up winning the match and moving on the finals!

Also Puerto Rico beat the rhinos 3-0 at home to win the aggy 3-2.

PR Vs Vancouver for the finals next week, im not sure what the venue is for the final yet.

Unfortunately, this weekend was the first weekend under different cable provider for. So for the moment no FSWC.

Yet, for the longest time I could seldom find anything I ever wanted to watch on that channell other than Bobby Mcmahon's commentary and MLS coverage.

Of course the one weekend, without access happens to be the time where they show something I really wanted to see.

It looks as if the final will be played in Vancouver because PR's pitch is not in suitable playing conditions. This is one the stupid things about the league. Only in USL would they arbitrarily decide at the last moment the venue for the final. they have done this in past and it was not necessarily based on some pre- established criteria ( eg.: better season record). Rather they will play where they think they can sell more tickets. This is the problem with the league ( and MLS also but to a lesser extent), its hard to sell the product to neutral viewers because so little is known about opposing teams and players to the average fan. So you cant play in a pre- determined neutral site. But if you make a the final a two leg affairs, then you kill the " big event" / "championship" feel of it.

Honnestly, on paper, I still believe that Montreal has the better side. I think that they fell victim to fixture congestion. Nolly ( Cap keeper ) has really looked awsome, everytime I saw him. Did he play yesterday? thought he collected a dubious red in the first leg. unless it was recinded

Except they had over 9,000 in PR for the semi, versus 5,000+ at Swangard.

Apparently the issue is not the pitch as much as the facility as a whole. PR's stadium does not meet "minimum" requirements, which are rumoured to be the ability to host the media facilities required to broadcast on short notice.

Rather stupid, considering PR has been broadcasting Champions League matches out of that same stadium for the past month and a bit.

Some should tell the Puerto Rican's that their win won't get them into the World Cup ;)

Can't believe thatg Vancouver is hosting the final lol IS Puerto Rico's pitch really that bad or was it that the broadcaster wouldn;t do the game out there? The real sad thingis that more people would go watch this game if it was in PR.

I thought Vancouver had one of the best natural pitches in North America???

I swear I read/saw that somewhere.. or maybe I've just smoked too much BC Bud.. ;)

I had also heard a rumor that if montreal won they were going to turn down the chance to host the final aswell. Who knows if its true, but the USL never play by the rules when it comes to hosting the finals.

Always seemed that rochester got it if they made it.

and so Vancouver wins the USL title vs the PR Islanders, and barring a brain fart the L'Impact should be off to the CCL QF's

....and the setting on our bar, is not to finish last. Thanks Mo and Co.
