Ok, the permits are in hand and all is getting ready to go. Our premit begins with Saturday October 27th. As playoffs look very unlikly for the first team, I don't think we will have very many interuptions.

Warmup:
The weeks of Saturday October 27th, Saturday November 3rd and Saturday November 10th will be an open kick about. At this time our 6 captains can asses talent. For these weeks I am hoping that someone can volunteer to see that one photo (which we will need a hard copy of) is taken of each and every player in the league (60 names are hard to keep track of after a few pints on draft night).

Draft night:

Following the kickabout on November 10th (please keep this in mind as we would like everyone to come out), we will retire to the Duke for the official draft. We will get them to put out a spread of food and a few drinks and the teams will be chosen (we will have a relay set up to keep Steve and Rory posted at their bar stools, as, though they may even take their mail at the Duke, I have never seen them actualy go as far as the snug ;) )

If anyone can suggest a fair means to choose the draft order feel free to suggest it.

The League

From Saturday November 17th you will play one game a week (at either 3pm, 4pm, or 5pm). The dressing room and showers will be open to you, but the last people must be out for 6. The season will continue uniterupted into March where a legue winner will be awarded and teams will be seeded for the playoffs (1 and 2 by into second round and 3 plays 6, 4 plays 5) the 3 weeks of playoffs (where extra time will be free for eliminated players to have a kick about) will culminate in the cup final and be followed by a party at the Duke.

We have access to the gym for every Saturday. I have thought that December 22nd should be a non league day for people getting away for a holiday. If anyone thinks that any other Saturdays should go un scheduled, please let me know.

Notes:

I must submit our players list very soon for the insurance. If you wish to be included under the coverage (no it doesn't cover stupidity or reckless tackles) than I need your proper name and spelling for said list (as it stands, I have most people just as their board handles)

For those that want in, we still have room and I would direct you to the other thread for that.

For those that want to opt out, I would ask the same.

I need to make the payment at the end of September so I will need the cash by then. $60 per player by the weekend of September 22nd please.

As many know, I'm pretty big on the 'football' thing, but for some reason I've never seemed to mind 'soccer' when refering to indoor. I still say 'footie' though when refrencing the playing of said game.

ps. I wouldn't mind liking to a dedicated site with all the particulars, but am a techno imbecile, so would need someone with more than half a brain to step up.

To add to the info at the beginning of the thread, I could also use someone who would be willing to MC (loud voice - no mic) the draft night (announce the picks - hand out the requisite shots etc...).

So far we only have one volunteer for any of the duties, but I'm sure it will come.

Team names = Captain's choice - anything goes

Colours = You can choose that too (save for the Captain with last pick over all-we wear the hoops), I don't know the status of the shirt deal, but that will be team by team and not a league matter.

Hey Guys Just wanna throw this out there I don't know if anyone of you would be intrested in buying kits?

I can get a half decent deal for team jerseys with names, numbers, shorts and socks for about 30 bucks each. After taxes and shipping, just in case you guys want to go that root. Sadly there is no celtic, but there are a great bunch of other team jerseys to choose from. The price per kit could go down even more if we get a shirt sponsor or something (which the company would be more then happy to put on for like 1 dollar a shirt I do believe)

It happens, and we still will of course be having the odd one-off as a group so there will be chances. Once the teams are set we may set up an occasional subs list or something. As it stands, about 75 expressed an interest, and the first 60 to get on the 'official' list will be in. The U.S.I.L. thanks you for your interest.

Ok, we've had a photographer step up and volunteer. Thank You. If anyone dabbles in video, that could be fun too. Still need a web person (to make use of the stats collected by our stats person (thanks to them too) and an MC for Draft (beginning) and Awards (end).

I'm planning to do up a little scoresheet that we can fill out for each game. Any specific stats you want me to include? I'm thinking goals, shots, saves. Assists maybe? (I know you purists will want to shoot me for that). I can fill out the scoresheet for the games I'm not a part of, and hopefully the layout will be easy enough that some else can do it for the games that I cant.

Might I suggest a draft lottery to choose our respective positions? Oh, and fellow captains, might it be time to work out what colours each of our teams will be wearing?

Oh and get your names in for the insurance list guys, it aint that tough :)
