I appreciate him.

I also appreciate him. He has put a smile on my face many times.

Wrote this about him yesterday:

Danny has scored nineteen times since joining TFC in all competitions since last summer...No striker in this club’s short/painful history has come close to matching his numbers on a per game basis. Here is breakdown below of the top five scorers in team history other than Koevermans for some context:

Dwayne de Rosario: 32 goals in 68 total appearances. 1 goal every 2.1 games
Chad Barrett – 21 goals from 64 total appearances. 1 goal every 3.04 games
Ryan Johnson – 13 goals in 47 appearances. 1 goal every 3.6 games
Danny Dichio – 14 goals from 66 total appearances. 1 goal every 4.7 games
Joao Plata – 10 goals in 52 appearances. 1 goal every 5.2 games

Danny Koevermans – 19 goals in 37 appearances. 1 goal every 1.94 games

Only DeRo (not technically a “striker” in the conventional sense) has come close to matching Danny’s per game production and being anywhere near the same sort of consistent threat to score a goal every time he went on the field as Koevermans has proven to be.

Best goal scorer ever to wear our kit and the smartest forward we've ever had.

This has been the saddest point in the season for me. I was sure he was going to smash the MLS goal scoring record set by I believe Roy Lassiter (27) this year. :(

If I knew Photoshop, I would try to make a corresponding picture along the lines of the awesome Dunfield/Journey one.

I appreciate how when he scores he seems really happy for the team, instead of being a fucking douchebag who goes and shushes opposing fans.

I think he's a good soccer player.

He will no doubt be severely missed. Hope not. But I fear we'll notice it tomorrow.

Koevermans knows everything.

His last goal at BMO for a while ......

will miss him, but hopefully he can take heart from this guy .... who ruptured his ACL & MCL, tore his LCL and strained his PCL and hopes to make his comeback this season after missing one full season .... http://chrishoggthefightback.blogspot.ca/

hope he has a speedy recovery. Really enjoyed watching him play, especially as of lately.

When I think of our all-time greatest players, I think Danny Koevermans should be among them in any such discussion. And I hope to someday see his name on the "Wall of Fame" too. To be honest we've set the bar kind of low by having Brennan on there, but I suppose he can get by a little on historic value (first player and all). Plus, he was a decent LB for us, even in the twilight of his career. But in terms of true greats, Koevermans needs to be recognized for sure. As mentioned, the best striker we've ever had.

I just hope he sticks around the team as much as possible, as he's one of the most liked players we've ever had.

Danny even makes transvestites happy ...top right ...

Assuming they don't already, TFC should have a dedicated team scouring the globe for tall strikers named "Danny".
