745 kick-off, rather than 730?
Will there be BBQ?
Breakwood - June 11, 2012 03:43 PM (GMT)
Anyone want to meet up downtown for Euro matches before heading to Maro?

My tickets say 730, Rudi says 745. Still haven't gotten a clarification.
Yes, c'mon boys!
nfitz - June 11, 2012 09:02 PM (GMT)
Not sure how this is different than a usual TFC game. If tickets say 7:30 kick-off is seldom before 7:40. Heck it was 7:51 for one game that said 7:30 (let's pretend for a minute that it always says 7:30 and save me looking up the real times).

True enough ...
Rudi - June 12, 2012 04:44 AM (GMT)
I put 7:45 in my original post for a reason, guys.
The Ticket - June 12, 2012 10:53 AM (GMT)
I hope Canada has a good game and gets the win .
Mon the Canada !
Shaun - June 12, 2012 11:25 AM (GMT)

Posts over on the Voyageurs Board are suggesting Palacios is out for Honduras, and possibly even Suazo and Thomas. Carlos Costly will play but I believe he is currently without a club so hopefully his form is suffering.
HeavyD - June 12, 2012 02:04 PM (GMT)
This is it. Time to bring a World Cup atmosphere to the lake.

I think its a good sign that I'm really dissappointed we didnt win. We definitely had our chances, and I think we looked the better side.
I'll take the draw considering Honduras lost at home.

Yup , we bossed the game yet only got a couple wayward header chances ourselves .. DeGuzman looked awesome in that, MOM ..and the supporters brought it all game ... laffed at the 10 or so latecomers making their way into 113 R5 near Gary .." I want my exact seat !"
Rhonda and I had to move a couple seats too , ..we didn't get a Honduran corner to toss streamers either ... :P
CEO_RedGrad - June 13, 2012 03:05 AM (GMT)
Sharman just posted interview on the score with Jonathan DeGuz. He's still determined to play for Holland. Thinks he has a good shot at playing in the next world cup, in their "new generation" as he called it.
I think it should be an ultimatum. Us or them.
TFCtoMUFC - June 13, 2012 03:12 AM (GMT)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-5RqPNjAtU&feature=plcpThat's the interview. He says that everything was blown out of proportion and he was just checking his options. Drop dead, burn in hell you stupid fucking piece of shit Owen Whoregreaves traitor cunt. I hope your career ends real soon. Take that jacket off, you don't deserve to wear anything that has the maple leaf on it, says Canada or is associated with this country. Get the hell out, never come back.

You're right Tyler. He has no right to wear that jacket, no right at all.
ColinTFC - June 13, 2012 09:15 AM (GMT)
Something to be said for that "confidence". Whoa.
FC4Life! - June 13, 2012 10:04 AM (GMT)
I hope Villareal doesn't sell him, and then makes him rot on the bench in the Spanish 2nd Division
kiko - June 13, 2012 11:14 AM (GMT)
Good noise from the south end, folks. You all the helped mood way up in 106.
And why the heck was BMO not full? I actually wondered if the seats in the upper-west section were even available.
TFCtoMUFC - June 13, 2012 11:43 AM (GMT)
So we sit in 2nd place in our group, up 3 points on Honduras and with a +3 goal differential on them (we're +1, they're -2). We need to win our two remaining home games, and if we get a draw in Panama then there is a chance that the Honduras game in Honduras won't matter.

Part of me thinks he's just plain stupid.
Nigel de Jong - 27
Wesley Sneijder - 28
Arjen Robben - 28
Kevin Strootman - 22
Ibrahim Afellay - 26
Rafael van der Vaart - 29
Urby Emanuelson - 25
Vurnon Anita - 23
Hedwiges Meduro - 27
Siem de Jong - 23
Adam Maher - 18
Jonathan de Guzman - 24 (turning 25 this year)
Where is your call-up? All of the guys listed are either on the Euro squad, or were on the preliminary squad. They are all under 30, 4 of them are younger than you, and the older ones aren't that much older, but are world class players. YOU AREN'T GOING TO FEATURE FOR THE DUTCH.

Tyler is a little bitch.
Aside from that painful result, we gotta win those. Pleasure to watch, had a blast! :D
Ultra & Proud - June 13, 2012 12:28 PM (GMT)
All of me thinks he is plain stupid. Never in his life will he ever play internationally.
I hope Holland throws him a pity match sometime just to cap him so we can forget about him like that guy with no knees who played for England. Then I hope the Dutch leave him out forever afterwards and he retires with one pointless cap against someone of no consequence.
FR12 - June 13, 2012 12:41 PM (GMT)
haha, Jono is of his rocker if he thinks he'll be part of the next gen Oranje squad. dont see that happening any time soon.
Red's deserved a win last night. but like Oranje on Saturday, you can create chances left right and centre, i doesn't mean anything if you do not put them away.
swiss76 - June 13, 2012 01:53 PM (GMT)
i cant recall ever outplaying another country for 90+ like we did last night! what an effort....yeah shit we couldn't get that goal but it was still Honduras, and 4pts is 4pts...
also brizzo kick ass job on the capo as per usual. Isn't it fucking great when all the sections get involved not just 112-113....
feel a little slow today but man that was worth it.....I cant wait till the fall to see some more of CANADA

Got thinking about Hoillet again last night. Other than Javier Hernandez I think Hoillet would be the most talented striker in CONCACAF.
Sure could have used him last night
bgnewf - June 13, 2012 02:06 PM (GMT)
and its sickening/disrespectful for jonathan de guzman to wear Canada colours while talking up his pipe dream of playing for Holland at the same time

Hoilett's not a striker.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure the EPL's fourth-leading scorer would disagree with you.
TheRedGoesStraightToMyHead - June 13, 2012 02:53 PM (GMT)
Oooh Snap. Rudi just dropped a deuce .
Rudi - June 13, 2012 03:01 PM (GMT)

Man, I think anyone who was in Montreal for 'that night' had to have been worried about last night.
Mission accomplished in the stands.

I was expecting a situation similar to the Ecuador match last night, with us owning the south end and the rest of the stadium comprised of quiet Canadians and loud away support.
It was much better than I expected. I didn't hear or see much Honduran support all night, though of course we couldn't hear much other than ourselves.
Great work on the ticket sales.
bgnewf - June 13, 2012 03:57 PM (GMT)
Jaimie deserves the order of Canada for his service to his country.
And duly noted on Dempsey....
Just don't think of him as an out and out striker probably as much as I should.
