If you haven't heard about it yet..India is trying to establish a new footie league, built somewhat on MLS model.

Will have DPs and salary cap, with required domestic slots.

Initial burst is a short 7 week attention with some hired guns to bring attention to the league. Below article has a few MLS people heading over, and Tatur-Tot is coaching one team.
