Title: Mother Nature
Description: [ Damon ]

The pale skinned brunette decided to take a stroll through the Park as she explored the town. Like always her i-pod was on the plugs in her ears as she sang to herself not out loud since people were taking a relaxing break enjoying the nature around them. Some boys who skipped school were throwing a few rocks at the birds when an elderly lady was trying to feed them. She walked to the woman and smiled. “Hi.” She spoke not bothering to take out the i-pod ear pieces out. She pointed elsewhere making the lady look so she could steal a few handfuls of the bird seeds then walked off turning a loop and tossing the seeds on the heads of the boys making the birds flock them in a frenzy pecking for the seeds the boys tossed their hands up trying to get the birds way but ended up trying to out run them.
With a few giggles she started on down the path concerted out for the joggers and runners trying to stay out of shape. The breeze was nice, the air was sweet she wasn’t hungry since she ate before coming out like always she made sure to eat before she came into a new area it just seemed safer that way. decreasing the desires to lash out and attack for blood. She was still wearing the same outfit from when she was in town, simple tight legged jeans, a black blouse that was slightly loose with no shoulders. On her feet she wore a pair of Mary-Jane with an ankle bracelet with her cross charm. Her hair was straight down and loose

Damon had been in town for a while, and when he caught scent of another vampire in the area, he decided it definitely needed investigation. Not to mention Jubilee had told him that someone had been following her, he needed to be sure that he was safe and that this little intruder wouldn’t disturb his plan. He sat, in the form of a large black crow, on a small railing that lined the jogging trail. He’d seen the young woman throw seeds onto the boy’s heads, and that only made his disguise more fitting.
She was pretty, to say the least, and didn’t seem to pay too much notice to him as she walked towards him on the paved trail. The large black bird sat watching her intently. Though he was not entirely black in the sun- his feathers glinted bright greens and blues, even purple in some spots. As the girl got closer he cawed loudly, but did not move from his perch.

The teen was pretty happy with herself a grin still played across her pink coated lips. She moved her hand down into her pocket and began to play with the buttons flicking through songs trying to find something worth listening to right now. She stopped on the song Jar of Hearts till she heard the crow completely taking her attention off the music as it started. The loud cawing would have annoyed others but didn’t faze her at all.
How could she have not noticed him or sense him before. Her body wasn’t even moving not even pretending to breathe as she stared at him for the longest. She wasn’t sure if the crow was the vampire she could have been mistaken it could have been just a crow. Her eyes kept on it for a little longer before she decided to pass. Maybe it just saw her throw the seeds and wanted some. No joggers were around, and the little old lady was already leaving.. It was just Fawn and the Crow who stared at her with its beady eyes. Regardless she could feel a vampire near by if he decided to follow or not would be settled when it happened.

The bird sat still, watching her as she passed until she moved around a bend in the trail and was no longer in sight. As she walked around the long curve up ahead again the crow sat on the railing. It’s head turned to give the perfect view of her. This time it cawed again, but while she was at a much father distance. Damon was getting a bit of fun out of worrying the girl. He could practically hear the thoughts in her head. And now they were alone, killing her would leave no witnesses.
The bird flew suddenly, diving at her and grabbing at her hair before taking high into the trees and disappearing from sight. But he wouldn’t be gone for long. The surge of power that came from shifting forms could be felt echoing through the forest. It was a dark power, and a heavy one. And fog began to roll in on the trail. He was pretty sure in assessment, the girl was his age, hardly any older if at all. And that would mean they were mostly on an equal level. Aside from the fact Damon had gorged himself for all those years on human life.

She was glad the bird was gone, she had no problems with animals in fact she loved the critters.. but when she had one eye ball her like that it was awkward. She turned her head looking back as if she was worried it might have followed but when she turned back there was the cawing crow once again with sharp vocals letting her know he was there again. She held her hands out to show nothing. “I have nothing birdy sorry.” But he seemed to protest when he went into her hair pulling it making her growl slapping her hands up but careful not to hit it she’d rather not kill it only make it leave her hair alone.
Pulling the plugs from her ears she ran her fingers through her hair to fix it before coaxing it downward to flatten it. Out of the corner of her eye she saw something.. Fog it was rolling in. Fog, impossible at this time of day. Something was up and someone was coming she could feel it in her gut making her stand in a defensive stance legs slightly parted to keep balance as she looked around for who was to come. Out of all the places in The states she gets the one with vampires lurking.. which she preferred to stay away from.

Damon had his hands in his pockets now, strolling at a slow leisurely pace. He was human now, tall and slender. Black hair, the same pitch black of the crow’s feathers, fell around his face. But his eyes were the most entrancing, pale icy blue, with an entirely predatory gaze. He had an air of power, which was mostly his show. It was rare someone challenged him, like most wild beasts, the one with the best display won. It was senseless to fight when likely, both vampires would end up hurt.
He was walking towards her back, fog rolling thick, heavy waves over the ground at his feet. “You seem a little lost. Or is Mystic Falls having a vampire convention I wasn’t aware of.” Counting this girl that made four vampires he knew were in the area. And, if this wasn’t whoever was chasing Jubilee, there would be another coming. And with a town of only a few thousand people, it wasn’t a good equation. The humans would notice.

She waited till she could sense which way he’d come. When she heard that first crack of a twig under his foot she’d turn quickly keeping her eyes fixed on him as he approached closer. She could tell he wasn’t there to be buddies. Her eyes scanned him collecting every big of information from his appearance she could possibly gather. The way he carried himself his appearance his smell his eyes. It took her a moment before she spoke but still not relaxing other vampires set her on a edge she could have learned a lot being around another blood sucker but she preferred not to in the past. Her green eyes watched him closely as he had gotten closer and closer, she could smell the human blood he drank.
“Lost? Don't you have to have a place to go before you can get lost so You can’t get lost if you didn’t have a phasic place to be to start with. So no, I’m not lost.” She still stood as if he was to attack. It was funny how looks could be so deceiving. She as a tiny thing that looked like she couldn’t fight off a thirty pound dog if it attacked her, but truth was she could snap its neck before it even knew she was there not that she’d want to hurt a dog.

Damon stopped a few feet from her, his stance casual, though somehow he still managed to seem like a wolf stalking a lost little girl in the woods. His hands came up from his packets holding the up a bit to show there was nothing in his hands before he folded his arms over his chest. “You don’t need to be so hostile, I’m merely wondering what you’re doing in my town.” He had already claimed it as his own. And he would guard it until his work at Fell’s Church was done. He had a plan to get Katherine out of the tomb, where he thought she had been trapped for years. After all, the last he saw her she was being hauled away and he was shot down trying to save her. As was his little brother.
“I’ve only been here a week or so and you’re the second anonymous vampire to show up. Are you looking for someone?” He was curious as to if this was who was after one of his old ‘friends’ if you’d go so far as to call it that. And, if it did turn out to be this girl, he halfway considered telling her where Jubilee was. Although he was starting to doubt it, a vampire as powerful as what Jubilee described would not be taking a defensive stance towards one that was only 170 something years old.
Phoebe Le'blanc - April 7, 2011 11:24 PM (GMT)
You’ve only been here a week and already have claims on the town? Isn’t that a little impulsive.” The last part wasn’t much of a question but more of a statement. “I mean if you want the town to yourself there has to be something here worth sticking around for. “She grinned over at him. Really she didn’t know why he was really here she just assumed he was being a greedy bastard which she could see that just by his looks. Her body loosed up some but making sure to keep her eyes on him in case he decided to change his mind and attack even though she was over hundred she still had only killed one vampire.
A fool could even see this vampire was handsome to meet a human like him when she was human she’d nearly had a stroke. His eyes they were very predator like, deep and piercing yet cold. “I have no real reason to be here. But if there are more vampires here something juicy must be here.” It sparked her curiosity if he hadn’t said anything she would have just passed the town in just a few days. But now she wanted to stay wanted to see why other leaches were flocking in.
Damon Salvatore - April 9, 2011 10:09 PM (GMT)
Damon wasn’t overly thrilled with the idea of having another Vampire in town. In fact he made his already volatile temper flare. His eyes narrowed, anger obvious in his eyes and posture. His arms folded over his chest, fists clenched. “You weren’t invited to stay. I’ve been here since 1840 something, so I have every right to claim it as mine. And I don’t know why all you little worthless leeches are flocking here, but you have no business. So get out. This town isn’t well populated enough for us all.” And that fact was true, it wasn’t. If so much as one person died the whole town knew about it. Not that Damon cared, no human even knew he was here or what his name was. So its not like he would be suspected. But he still didn’t want the threat of the founding families cracking down again. They had before and it’s caused him to lose the love of his life.
He took a step forward, the fog flooding in huge waves before vanishing all together. He know longer felt like wasting power on minor show effects. Not as if he didn’t have power to spare, he was so well fed on strong human blood he was stronger than most his own age. “If you cause an ounce of trouble for me, I’ll drive a steak through your heart without so much as a warning. I hope that I’ve made myself clear.” His tone held the threat that he was serious, which he was. Damon had no problem with throwing lives away if was easier for his scheme.
Phoebe Le'blanc - April 10, 2011 10:47 PM (GMT)
She crossed her arms raising an eyebrow at the male vampire. “I thought you just got here.” Making his temper raise only seem to throw wood in the fire for her, she thrived on pissing or annoying others. Regardless if she liked to mingle with other vampires, this one was making it way to easy for her. He was quit enjoyable. “Listen sparky. If you go around trying to scare everyone off then they are only going to assume something is here worth sticking around for. I honestly could care less what’s so damn important to you that you have to stalk me out here just to threaten me over but you are going about it wrong. Maybe I’m just here for the sheer pleasure of being somewhere different.” She rolled those shoulders some. “But if you give me a reason to stay longer it just might happen.” When he started to roll in the fog she exhaled lightly. “I suppose that’s supposed to intimidate me? Some fog?” She knew she could get away from him and not have to fight if it came down to that.
But what could be here to make that vampire so hot headed so fast, something was here he was after. “Didn’t your mother ever teach you to play nice with others?” Shaking her head she dropped her hands to her side. "I don't normally pray on blood from living humans. So if you are 'worried' I'll get all the good ones, don't. You should really lighten up."

Starting to realize his own temper was simply fueling the girl more, his entire atmosphere changed. Damon smiled, bright and handsome, when he looked like that it was so easy to picture him as a human. Cheerful, trusting, fiercely loyal, and of course flawlessly handsome. “It seems I was mistaken then. I wasn’t aware you were Buffy the Bunny Slayer.” He chuckled some, full of sarcastic contempt. “And I thought you were going to be a problem.”
Then, in a fraction of a second he was nearly on top of her, standing just inches away looking down at the small girl. A large wooden branch in his hand, though he did nothing with it. “Consider this your warning. Stay away from me, or I will kill you.” His eyes were harsh, and serious, he obviously meant what he said. And without another word or hesitation he was gone, a single black feather falling to the ground at the young girls feet. It was beautiful, and flawless, glinting back every color under the sunlight.

She had rolled her eyes over his comment on eating animals, but honestly she didn't kill everything she had stacks of blood in camper's fridge. Human and animal. Enough human to keep not so weak but enough lamb's blood to keep her happy and well fed. This guy, he wouldn't care who he killed. "I'm sure you are highly underestimating me." She knew she wasn't strong as other vampires but she could surely hold her own if needed. She didn't blink when he flashed in front of her only looked up so she could see his face. His actions and his eyes told her he was like an inbred ill tempered dog He was liable to lash out at any given moment.
After he was gone the teen girl rolled her eyes before shaking her head. "Moron came to me." [It's short I know.]
