I always hear Eriror mentioning Indexarounds and since he's a palm-down master, I was wondering if it is possible to do a palm down indexaround.
If so, does that imply the existence of a middlearound 12-12 with an index push? |

IndexAround, IndexAround, IndexAround... Haha.
Well, I wouldn't say I mention them a lot, and I'm afraid I'm not that much of an IndexAround user either. I would rather use Korean BackAround Reverse. :) I don't know if IndexArounds are possible, Palm-Down, but if they are, MiddleAround (Reverse) 12-12 would be possible. I will have to check this out before I can give full clarification on this. Let me try some things. I'll post videos with different ways of IndexAround (for me) and maybe even a weird MiddleAround Reverse 12-12, haha. |

I guess I was deriving indexaround from the term "bust."

Or you could just do a normal Indexaround. Palm-down.

Just hold the pen in 12 like you would with a normal index around, tilt your hand down and push left with your middle. Unless I'm missing something it really doesn't seem that hard. I mean they don't exactly look pretty but they seem totally possible.
@Tokuwee15: I was able to do it both fingerless and with fingers only. The way I'm doing it the pen spins completely perpendicular to the rest of the fingers so I wouldn't really feel comfortable calling it a Korean bak rev. I was also able to do a palm down middlearound reverse 12-12 and a sonic bust. |

An IndexAround starts between the Index and Middle fingers. The Middle finger pushes the pen around the Index finger in a clockwise motion (right-handed). The pen is caught in the same position.
Normally, the IA is done with the palm sideways. If you rotate your wrist 90° counter-clockwise (right-handed), your palm is facing down (like it would be for a Shadow). You can still do an IA using your Middle finger, just like before, it's just harder. Your fingers will probably be straight, unlike in a normal IA if you tend to have them bent like I do. |

Wow! I got whole new ideas for combos! And Sketching, you're right. It's harder, and you're more likely to do a Scissor Spin. <_< |

It's a different kinda of IA Reverse. - Hold your hand with your fingers vertical, all fingers straight. - Now, fold your Index finger in and hold the pen vertically with just your Index finger wrapped around it. The COP should be below your Index finger. - Rotate your hand 90° counter-clockwise (right-handed). - The pen should be parallel to the floor, still only helf by your Index finger. - Lessen your grip on the pen and quickly move your hand in a counter-clockwise circle while keeping your Index finger bent. - The pen should rotate around your bent Index finger. - Catch the pen with your bent Index finger as it finishes 1 rotation. The Anti-Gravity move is pretty much a palm-down Indexaround Reverse 1-1. |

most people tilt their hands a little after the indexaround push to get a palm down indexaround

Firstly, can you do a normal index around? Learn that. As for the palm down, set yourself up for a palm sideways IA then turn your hand sideways. You want to push with your middle finger and move it pretty much directly under the index. You have to push pretty fast for it to work. The catch is pretty straight forward and I'm sure you can figure it out once you get the pen spinning properly.
Also if you can do twisted sonic bust try learning the palm down IA that way. It may be easier for you. Usually after the twister sonic you are in a good position for the IA and already have quite a bit of momentum. |
