Eyes: Her eyes are actually a blue-gray color, and the color changes based on her mood. A good mood will result in more of the blue showing, while a particularly dark mood will color her eyes pure gray.

Hair: Such a light, white-blonde that it appears almost entirely white, only in sunlight do the golden undertones reveal themselves

Overall Appearance: Vaalea is quite a lovely creature. Standing at around 5'7", she is neither tall nor short, a rather average height. Her skin is a bit lighter than is common among the Pernese, and she takes great care to ensure that no unattractive blemishes are found anywhere. She keeps herself out of sunlight for the most part, or else takes care to cover herself to prevent getting burned.
Her hair is a bit thin, but full, falling just past her shoulders in the gentlest of natural waves. Her lashes are darker than her hair, as are her brows, giving her eyes a rather startling contrast to the softness of her heart-shaped face.
Her eyes themselves are delicately slanted, and though she has a smile that could brighten a room, she is rarely found with any expression at all.
She is delicately featured with a small nose and plump lips, and her body is not overly thin, though nowhere near plump. She has little muscle and little physical strength, though this doesn't bother her, as she usually has no trouble finding someone else to do her dirty work.
She prefers lighter colors, pastels and thin, soft fabrics, and will never be found in anything that doesn't flatter her body. She stands tall with her shoulders back and her chin held high, but she never appears haughty for this. Merely quietly confident.

Significant Trait: Vaalea is the complete opposite of what she seems. She comes across as guarded, distant, cold and confident, when in fact she is very open, overly trusting and loving. Despite her pale complexion, she does not blush easily, though she is very easily embarrassed and upset.

Personality: Vaalea is, in fact, painfully insecure and very sensitive. One would never guess such a thing based on her mannerisms, but her spirit is one very easily broken. She is skilled at keeping up a front, and is an expert actress, able to fool people into perceiving her any way she wishes, this generally being as confident and secure.
She is easily hurt, physically and mentally, and though she fears growing close to people for fear of heartache, she is inexplicably drawn to them. She has a deep need for comfort and security, and so she is painfully trusting of any who offer her kind words. Even towards those who insult her, she is forgiving, and naive enough to trust them completely once again even if they have done her great harm.
She is the kind of person who goes out of her way to ensure other people are happy, though she doesn't openly do so. She is very secretive about most of her actions, somehow unwilling to reveal to the world just how frail and giving she truly is.
Vaalea has an inability to see her own beauty, but an acceptance of the fact that she cannot change the way that she looks, or perhaps an unwillingness to try to change it. She is very cruel to herself, often pushing her body and mind beyond their limits, ridiculing herself inwardly and focusing on how worthless she believes herself to be. She is completely repulsed by the sight of herself, and despite how painfully trusting she is, she is immediately suspicious of any who compliment her, convinced that they are secretly mocking her in some subliminal way.
She cannot stand ridicule and is one to easily burst into tears, though she does so in solitude, careful to hold them to herself until she has been removed, by her own will or someone else's, from whatever harmful situation has caused them and is alone.
