Grigori here to describe the new way to go about getting those rider’s knots, because frankly the current way is the pain in the tailvent for you and me! So now I bring you the new way to get things done. There will be total of 11 threads posted all at once under each weyrling group’s subforum. 7 out of 11 must be posted in. You have 4 months. There is no excuse not to manage this because if you disappear for a week or so you can make it up. Plus, the threads will never be locked until the dates listed below for graduation. The week before graduation, if you finally want to post all your characters last minute (though that defeats the fun purpose of this new layout) you can.

Each weyrling group will have the same openers for their threads perhaps with a spin on it depending on which weyrlingmaster is in charge. However, lessons are now more weyrling-based. Your posts make the lessons – not the admin posts. We would like if you post regularly and maybe (le gasp!) actually roleplay. Your characters are going to be risking their lives with these people. They should get to know each other and bond. Crushes, hatred, feuds, banter, friendships and enemies – let’s start some of that huh? That’s the good stuff, and you know it!
Important: The absolute very first thing to do is mention your weyrling signing the attendance sheet. If they can’t write (as that’s not required), they can ask someone to do it for them and/or sign it with an x. The weyrlingmaster might stare at them like they’re an idiot – but hey.

Attendance will be tallied at the closing date by the weyrlingmaster in charge. If your character by chance wants to graduate and you didn’t make the post requirements by one or two threads, you can make it up. How? PM an admin and be prepared to beg T’ech. A lot. And have lots of chores in which Sosonnath will happily laugh at you – and if you really want a laugh, try and seduce the man. That’d be more than fun. It won’t work but it’d be fun – and the point here? Have fun, guys.
So why the new layout you may still be asking? You nor we admins are good about lessons and actually having the time to do something? Minimal. Now you can interact freely with each other and personalize the mandatory.
Disasters! Congrats, you only have to post in 4 of the threads in your subforum.
Galactics! Just graduate already – sheesh! When Kyria posts the Weyrwoman announcing the graduation, just post a “he/she got their knots” and we’ll get the whole weyrling bunch graduated asap. You will have two weeks to respond to the graduation after the date it has been posted. Failure to comply will result in character death. For serious.
Sins and Virtues – Your time starts now.

    Important Dates to remember:
Galactic Graduation: May 7 to May 19th before being locked
Disaster Weyrlings: Graduation opens July 4th ends and Lessons will be locked. Graduation ends July 18th.
Sins and Virtues: Lessons begin today. You have until August 4th to give us 7 lesson posts before lessons will be locked.

Since the lessons are all in liquid time, here is the list of how big your weyrling dragon would be at the time of the lesson – each lesson being IC a month: Sizes

Note: If there is an inconsistency such as a character is wounded prior to the month of the lesson but is not wounded in lesson – this will be overlooked. If you do them all at once, we cannot expect you to predict your characters being hurt out of lessons. Consider lessons its own little timeline. If you get in a fight of the ethics say of wingclipping but your character showed up at a lesson after a beat down – people are to overlook the matter. Liquid time. Remember that.

    Lesson Plan

    1. Lesson One: Feeding
Weyrlings are encouraged to break into feeding pairs and get to know one another as well as learning how to properly feet and dragonets.

    2. Lesson Two: Bathing/Discussion of Mating Flights/Fears
Weyrlings are encouraged to bond with each other, have a group discussion let by WM or a dragonrider and discuss fears about future together while washing and oiling dragonets.

    3. Lesson Three: Anatomy/Discussion of common injuries/Intro to healing items
Weyrlings encouraged to discuss what they think common dragon injuries are as well as group review of charts and familiarizing one another with healing items in question-answer based lecture.

    4. Lesson Four: Sorting and Throwing Firestone
Weyrlings must sort 9 rocks into low, medium, and high grade – encouraged to compete for fastest time. Then may receive a low grade bag of ‘stone and must throw it to a greenrider, bluerider, brownrider, and bronzerider. Weyrlings may practice throwing to each other as well and are furthermore encouraged to challenge each other to make things a bit more exciting.

    5. Lesson Five: Ground Troops
In groups of 3 or 4 (self-assigned), weyrlings must run a course alongside their dragons in diamond or ^ shaped patterns. One member of each group must carry a bag of ‘stone with them at all times. Working together they must trade off the bag and get back together safely!

    6. Lesson Six: Honor Duels
Weyrlings learn basic fighting moves and are encouraged to spar one another. Wounds like bruises may occur but no assailing someone’s character at random (unless they say you can).

    7. Lesson Seven: Outfitting
Weyrlings work together to make riding straps for their dragons. They then pick out their own riding gear. Weyrlings are encouraged to critique one another’s craftsmanship so make sure not everyone’s perfect at it.

    8. Lesson Eight: Flying
At long last, send your weyrlings into the sky! Killing characters is permitted without admin approval. Have them help one another if wounded and same as outfitting – critique!

    9. Lesson Nine: Flying in Practice Wings
Pick groups of 3 or 4 and head into the skies. Keep formation and showoff a little if you like! Feel free to fight/discuss who is group leader amongst yourselves.

    10. Lesson Ten: Between
Time to get chilly! Weyrlings must flash between from one end of the lake to the other. Injury and death many occur. Miniplots, however, must be approved by admins – but don’t hesitate to ask!

    11. Lesson Eleven: Flaming
Learn to chew ‘stone and flame. Senior dragonriders will drop target bags near weyrlings for practicing aim. Weyrlings may work in small groups together. One person is encouraged to throw the ‘stone, one to flame, one for targets then switch off. Injury may occur without admin approval!

    12. Graduation!
