This story, the whole of Twelve Signs. Takes place, during a time of regeneration. A time where all the packs are desperatly looking for members. Luckily, one or two wolves from each had survived...or we hope so anyways. So they are the few that are responsible for regrouping their pack, or lands.
Well maybe I should tell you how it became that way...we will need to travel a few years back to the beginning...
Everyone knows of the story between Aries Pack and Sagittarius Pack. It is a lengend and a known fact. Sagittarius owned the volcano. They had been placed their by the gods themselves. They lived in peace for many years, in friendly cognito with Aries. But one day something happened that no one expected.
The Volcano erupted.
Now don't panic, everyone lived, and only a few burns were identified. But this showed the wrath and intensity of the Volcano. Somehow the Aries Pack Alpha got it into his head that it was the sign of Mars: god of war, and that they should own the lands, not the Sagittarius's. Now the Alphi of Fireosa was a very peaceful wolf, and was getting on in years. He also saw the eruption as a sign from Mars, and handed the territory over to Aries. Sagittarius was devastated, and swore their revenge and reclaim of their territory.
That was hundreds of years ago. So far nothing had happened to large between Aries and Sagittarius. A few scruffles here and there, but nothing major. Nothing exclusive...untill that faithful year, when a new Alpha reigned. This new Alpha of Sagittarius wanted revenge. And his pack was right behind him. He sent messengers to each of the Lands, asking for aid to take back their rightful land.
Hearing of this news, the Aries Alpha also sent out messages to each territory, asking for help defending their lands. This of course, caused conflict.
Every small pack had a different opinion, some wanted to stay peaceful, others voted on the Aries/Sagittarius side, and still others wanted nothing to do with it. This made small battles break out within the lands themselves. Even within the packs themselves! For it was the Alphi's main decision to choose weither their element would go to war or not.
The Alphi's of the time were;
Arasno (A-Ras-No): Fire Alphi Elinda: Air Alphi Everest: Earth Alphi and Anistashia (An-ie-stosh-ie-ya): Water Alphi
Arasno, torn in two ways by both Aries and Sagittarius with Leo, ended up commiting sucicide under the strain, leaving the Fireosa lands in even more chaos.
Elinda voted to go to war, and to be on Aries side, as Gemini (her past pack) voted to be on that side. But alas, Aquarius wanted to be on the side of Sagittarius, and would not take no for an answer, and eventually just broke off from their element and joined the fight with Sagittarius. Good Libra pack of course, was trying to come to a compromise between the two, and most ended up being slaughtered or chased away by the two others.
Everest had possibly the easiest time of all of them. Both Virgo and Capricorn wanted nothing to do with the affairs of the other packs. And only Taurus wanted to fight, Everest had been a Capricorn beforehand, but was easily swayed by the Taurians and soon they were also off to war, though most were not very enuthsiastic.
Anistashia, the Water Alphi, had a hard time of it. Both Cancer and Pisces wanted peace, but Scorpio had a furious appitite for war, as Mars was also their god and they wanted to defend him on the side of Aries. But Anistashia did not want to waste more lives on something that did not concern them. And she refused to go to war. But the Scorpio Alphess had a different plan. She was determined to help defend her god. And the whole of Scorpio Pack rose agaisnt her in secrecy, so as not to alert the other packs, they murdered Anistashia.
Pisces and Cancer were devastated at the death of their Alphi, and the normally peaceful packs turned agaisnt their water conterpart. The ones who had helped kill the Alphi were slaughtered on site, and that left only the small ones, the ill ones and the gaurds.
Those few remainders fought with Aries, as their only protection from their own lands.
That battle lasted for two weeks straight. And at the end, no one was standing save the few I mentioned in the beginning.
So now you the story, and why there are so few wolves here. Now what will happen, during the regeneration?
