Title: Four-in-five Drabble Challenge
Description: *Sign-Ups Are Open*
InsaneBlueberry - August 20, 2011 10:31 PM (GMT)
>How It Works
Similar to 20in20, you have twenty days to create twenty drabbles for a particular character or pairing from Victorious. Essentially, you will claim a character or pairing from the show and each of your drabbles will have to depict your character(s) in a way that pertains to the themes. Starting next Saturday (August 27), we will give you a general theme (ie: Love, Sad, Cold, etc.) with ten sub-themes and have you create five drabbles for it by choosing only five of the sub-themes given.
This is where the "Four-In-Five" comes in. Five days after we post the first theme (Saturday, August 27), we will post the second theme, which will be be on Thursday (September 1). The third theme is posted on Tuesday (September 5), and the fourth will be posted on Sunday (September 11). Now, let's say that you don't finish five drabbles in five days for Theme #2. You will not be able to post your drabbles once the next theme (in this case, Theme #3) has begun, but you can, however, participate in that theme. Your Theme #2 drabbles will not be able to be voted on, but the drabbles you make for Theme #3 will be allowed to be voted on if they are finished in time.
If you have any questions, please just go ahead and ask in the comments!
Taken Characters/Pairings have been
crossed out. Also, you may only claim one character/pairing.
Sinjin Van Cleef
(If you have a couple that isn't listed, please request it in the comments).
> All claims must be claimed by Friday, August 26! No later. You may also go ahead and start requesting!
> Also, whenever a user claims a character/pairing, I, not you, will make a thread in the Fanfiction Challenge Submissions Forum. Whenever you have your entry, just go ahead and post it in the thread.
> Winners will get a special banner made for specifically for them. The banner will be of whatever character/couple they chose for the challenge.
> There will be more than one winner. There will be an overall winner, and a favorites winner. The overall winner is the one whose stories were voted for the most. The favorites winner is the one who's drabble(s) was voted for the most. More information will be posted in the Voting Threads.
> One more thing! Themes will be posted in the Fanfiction Challenges forum.
> P.S. Make sure that when you post your drabbles, you add what sub-theme they are.

Robbie/Tori! Called it!
One question, though. I don't really understand the ten sub-themes bit. Can you please explain more about it? :)
InsaneBlueberry - August 21, 2011 02:39 AM (GMT)
So, let's say we have a Theme called Happiness. You then have ten sub-themes: Hug, Friends, Laugh, Funny Faces, Sun, Fun, Close, Smile, Food, Joy. Now, you can pick five of those ten. Let's say you choose Hug, Friends, Funny Faces, Smile, and Food. Now you just have to write a drabble for each of those. So that makes five drabbles. Make sense?

Gotcha, Cap'n. ^_^
Yay, Rori! :D

Only a few more days to sign-up for the contest! So far only two people have signed up! You have till Friday. Also, if someone is late and wants to sign-up on Saturday, you must message me before I post the first theme! No exceptions - unless of course you live in a different time zone and it's like... midday for you or whatever.

Another question before I start writing: what's the word count limit?
InsaneBlueberry - August 28, 2011 09:33 PM (GMT)
Um... Since they are drabbles, I'd say the word limit is at least 750. The minimum is 100.

Okey-dokes! ^_^ I'm off to catch plot bunnies for each sub-theme!

Bad news guys. Because of my stupid computer, the contest is postponed until I get a new one/get this one fixed to post the themes.
I will not be doing the first theme because I dont want to be unfair because I will have more than five days. Of course, I will be posting my drabbles for the first theme after the contest.
And Im really sorry guys. Maybe my l'ordinateur is working again because I havent gotten on it today and it might have hopefully fixed itself...

Aw. :( I hope your computer gets well soon :)
Although, I'm finished with all my drabbles. It's not going to be discounted, is it? :-/
InsaneBlueberry - September 2, 2011 02:23 AM (GMT)
No, no, of course not. Your drabbles count. Dont worry about that. :D

Official New Schedule:
Theme 2: September 5
Theme 3: September 10
Theme 4: September 15
Theme 5: September 20
These are the dates when themes are posted and entries may be posted. Just a quick reminded, you can't post entries for Theme 2 on the 10th. Same goes for all the other themes.

So quick question: if by the end of this challenge, we're both supposed to have twenty drabbles, how come we're going to have five themes? Wouldn't that result in twenty-five? Or are you lowering the number of sub-themes that can be chosen from five to four? :hmm
I realize too that I won't be able to continue my late submissions for theme two making that exempted from being voted on. :P So I guess I'll move on to theme three! ^_^
je crois en l'amour - October 6, 2011 02:58 AM (GMT)
Hey, Liz. Are we still going to finish this challenge? :(
InsaneBlueberry - October 6, 2011 10:12 PM (GMT)
I don't know... Neither of us did the third (or was it fourth..) challenge, so... probably not. If you really want, I can get something up Sunday night since I'm actually busy the next two days.
je crois en l'amour - October 7, 2011 01:33 AM (GMT)
Neither of us did the third theme, but although you stated in the rules that entries for theme three will not be counted, if we had entries for the fourth one and we did complete it, then they're still eligible for the voting.
|Now, let's say that you don't finish five drabbles in five days for Theme #2. You will not be able to post your drabbles once the next theme (in this case, Theme #3) has begun, but you can, however, participate in that theme. Your Theme #2 drabbles will not be able to be voted on, but the drabbles you make for Theme #3 will be allowed to be voted on if they are finished in time.|
If we have the fourth and final theme, then our completed entries will still go in. :)
