Life is simple in Dexly at this moment in time. Simple in the sense that it’s bound to get a lot more complicated. Vinnie has eased his way into the position of head pin quietly- a change that only those who are involved are aware of, but the Police know that something’s up. They’re just not sure what.
Your trusty local Observers are also aware that’s something’s in the water, and they’re keen on getting the scoop out to their readers as quickly as possible. This is something the Police don’t want happening, since headline news would seriously conflict with cracking the case, but whether they like it or not, both Police Headquarters and The Dexly Observer received potentially useful information about the workings of The Shady Lady. Apparently they’re working some underage girls, which, not only is illegal, but a potential scandal just waiting to be blown out of proportion.
Tensions are running high at the Police Department as they begin investigations, and the Observers are more enthusiastic about getting a good story than anything else. Meanwhile, life for the unsuspecting citizens goes on as dysfunctional as it ever has.
