Well, the biggest news this week regarding Toonami is that FLCL will be returning on August 4th on its 9th anniversary on Adult Swim. Oh, and MNET, the longtime holders of the TV rights to the Toonami classic Outlaw Star, are apparently going to lose the rights to that show on July 6th. Portents of things to come? And Viz is doing some network/streaming thing with Neon Alley, which for now is exclusive to the PS3, and will feature dub premieres of Tiger & Bunny, Inuyasha: The Final Act, and Blue Exorcist, among others. How this affects Toonami remains to be seen.

Regardless, TOM is going to be sitting down for a "talk" tonight. What's it going to be about? Nothing much is known, but Jason DeMarco says it's about a topic covered before and still relevant today. The conventional wisdom is that the speech is about reruns, which was covered by Moltar in 1998 and TOM 2.0 in 2002. If the young history of reborn Toonami is any indication, the speech will most likely run during Deadman Wonderland.

Anyway, Bleach continues to muddle through the final vestiges of its filler arc, Deadman Wonderland has Ganta meeting a new girl code-named "Hummingbird", and Casshern faces what is basically his evil double. Then we got FMA, GITS, and Bebop wrapping up the night.

Enjoy it, the way only Toonami can.

Nice! They remade the "Reruns" promo, word for word from Moltar's original speech!

It's hard to outdo "That [bleep] actually saved the [bleep] primroses. YOU BELIEVE THAT [bleep]?"

That show seems to keep things interesting from week to week. Shame it's only got a few left...
