TOM4 was made to be more kid-friendly and personable (with the facial features, 'cute' design, colorful jungle setting). It was not popular with the long-time Toonami fans because it was such a departure from our familiar TOM.
I think Williams Street knows that in general the people clamoring on Twitter and user forums about the April 1st event are 18+, and that for people that age Toonami and TOM means the 1-2-3 faceless robot models, and not TOM4. If Toonami comes back, I think it's safe to say that it will be using the TOM3 (and related Sara) design or some sort of revision that keeps the logical TOM1-2-3 progression, as opposed to the "for kids" TOM4 design. That said, TOM2 and the floating mask Sara are by far my favorite for nostalgia alone. It would be awesome if they could work on getting Moltar in there. Was there a canon explanation for the Moltar -> TOM1 transition? I don't remember. And yeah, the drum 'n bass has to return. Toonami = beats + space, that's basically it. |

Nick, are you prepared to possibly start working on this site again? haha
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but at the same time...it just feels so close now... |

Hah, I actually dusted off the Dreamweaver files on April 1st to put the info on the main page. I barely remembered how to do it, it had been so long!
Seriously, though, I would totally put up articles whenever if people had them, but there hasn't been much to say! And I didn't want to drown the site in a bunch of crying over Toonami's death, as I'm sure you know. Here's hoping there'll be stuff to say soon, if not already! I've got my head down with job applications and school work, but I'd like to make some guesses at the future if I can (and I'm sure others do, too!) |

Yeah, I definitely would like some new stuff, like a TOM5 and such, but if they stick with TOM3 until it starts to pick up again, I don't mind one bit!
As for the shows, I would love new stuff and the classics, but most of all I'd like them to finish some of the stuff they didn't get a chance to before. We got to see that Tenchi that night because it was on AS late night instead of the prime time Toonami was on normally, so I'd like to see more there. Also, seeing the rest of Yu Yu Hakusho would be lovely... Gah! There's just so much that I'd want to see! It would fill several more years of Saturdays!!! |

I don't think Toonami is going to happen this weekend which is why I'm not going to jump the gun and make a talkback for tonight. Steve Blum said he hasn't heard anything so what have you.
I wouldn't rule out a black-and-white card detailing Toonami's return though. I would expect a new Toonami having a mixture of old and new. I would expect FMA: Brotherhood and Durarara!! being a part of it, mixed in with some Toonami favorites, Bleach, and probably a new show or two (Tiger & Bunny probably the likeliest but FUNimation is going to push their newest Toonami-esque material HARD). |

Jason DeMarco said on Twitter that Toonami won't be on tonight, but as soon as there's news, Adult Swim will let us know.

I don't expect Toonami to return just like that. They are probably on the planning/pre-working stage right now. Sure, I think we've waited long enough. But you can't rush greatness.

There were a couple of Toonami-related bumps on Adult Swim that I caught tonight. All having to do with the #BringBackToonami Twitter "movement." The bumps I saw ended with [we're listening] and [we're looking into it].

It's interesting to see how many people are supporting it now but when it was cancelled Toonami went almost unnoticed by a lot of people. Maybe they had to be reminded of what they were missing. Either way I'm more than elated to see that Adult Swim is giving us the chance to let them know that we want it back.

I love how hard Steve Blum has been pushing it. He's been pretty much leading the #BringBackToonami movement.
