We need some hi-res pictures of Tom 3.
Also, does anyone happen to have that super hi-res picture of Tom 2, but on a transparent background? Maybe as an enormous PNG? I'd like to do some stuff in the way of wallpapers with it. |

I remember an add for the new Toonami in 2003 in one of my Playstation magazines. I'll try to look for it.

Not meaning to double-post, but I am back once more with a treat.
I have recreated one of the video transitions from 2007. ![]() Sample1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpaxZGnwFnA Sample2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELgFXbVs4t8 Full: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC2enyfL9YA Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?30jobv4orls9883 The resolution is 1280x720 so regular HD videos should work fine no problem. |

So, here we are once again. I updated the 2007 transition to make it more like Toonami's. I basically added the moving hexagon background. I basically made a map in Portal with a 512x512 tile-able hexagon texture and put it into a hollow sphere and recorded it. Here's a demonstration using one of my Audiosurf runs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B3Wj1tYPDQ If it is requested enough I will upload it, but be warned, if you want to use it you would have to add in each image frame by frame.

Well, this was the last thing I really worked on. I do go to college for graphic design during the majority of the day. I have been wanting to work on something else, but I don't know what. If you have any ideas that have to do with Toonami, lay em on me. I'm always eager to recreate things(within reason).

Don't forget Eclipse by Agent Jay-R.
It was the second song used in the UK Toonami Advert. |

Yeah hi, I'm back again with another little something i whipped up which took around 15+ hours. I wanted to recreated the other version of the transition, but I had no idea how I was going to do so, but now it's completed and I feel exhausted.
![]() Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSTf95_5-kI If it's requested, I can post a link so people can use it. It's in .mov format that uses an alpha channel. |

Here's a little BTS. This is basically how I created the holo hex sphere.
I made a tileable bitmap in photoshop. made a 16 face sphere in the Valve Hammer Editor and hollowed it out. I also made it a func_rotating, so it rotates at a reasonable speed. ![]() I compile the map into Portal and I force the source recorder to record the footage at 200fps. I also make sure my game is at 720p so it'll be easier to deal with later. ![]() I save the footage and magically open up the footage into photoshop and edit it with a shadow to the top left to make it more realistic. That's basically how I made it. It's not perfect, but it does the job. But I really need to figure out how to make the sphere be smoother and that's something I cannot do in Hammer. I will point out that I'm scared to touch 3ds Max. |

Looks fantastic! Very clever method to capture the CG footage, also. Thumbs up!
