Between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, which one was better (please explain)?
Personally, they were both great games, one being harder then the other but the other being longer to play. Ocarina of Time was great for its temples, characters, plot, orginality and side quests. Majora's Mask was great for the difficulty level, suspense, masks and evil dude o.o Of the two, Ocarina of Time has always been my fave. Now that I lay it out on paper (sorta), the two are hard to choose from. O.o But, just to ease my stress on the matter, I'll stick with my since-foreverago favorite Ocarina of Time.

Nah. I'd choose MM anyday. It's just....a better game. Sure OoT was the first, but I loved MM so much more. The characters weren't just NPC's, they were actual people. The storyline involved you and actually made you want to save these people; it made you actually want to be the hero. There was none of that in OoT. Plus, the sense of urgency was awesome. I loved that 3-day system. Especially on the last day as the time begins to run out, I just loved the hurried feeling. It was just better in the way of gameplay.

Random morelikely explained it, the thing is that, the game's difficulty makes you play until you finish it to 100%, and the story was better, and it also was kinda faster than OoT was, you get real action in a while.

my personally favorite is MM
i like the music and plot a little better. plus theres more sid quests. i really like a game with tons and tons of side quests. getting alll the masks was fun unlike killeing all the golden spiders in OOT. the game may be a bit shorter but the temples are much longer. if i could make a zelda game i would make it like MM expect i would make it twice as long. with more side quests, more battles, more temples, and an overall harder ga,me

Ocarina of Time just seemed to feel so much better for me. It came out first and then when I played Majora's Mask, every thing that was in OoT seemed to have been copied over to MM. And, OoT had a total of about 9 dungens (10 if you count the Well), and MM has only about 4 (or 5 if you want to count the areas on the Moon). Thats about half the dungens, dude! That, in it-self, makes it feel like the better game for me. True, MM had TONS more side-quests than OoT, but I like dungens more. For my next point, look at the geography. MM seems really... fake to have the 4 different environments in the compass points placed so convinently like that. In OoT, I think they're much more believably placed. Another thing seems to be the characters. In OoT, I just seem to like the characters more (Maybe its cause they don't do the same frikin' thing every time I perma-save). For my final point, I don't like time-limits. A time-limit just takes all my fun and throws it out the window.

as always i'm the only one with a common sense <.<
MM was a nice game, i cant deny that being me a zelda fan. but oot was something else, it was the birth of the zelda saga WE love so much. MM was born from the idea of continuing the storyline, without oot there wouldent even be a MM game now...
besides i dont like games with time limits, rushing off without thinking isnt my style!
and the fact i coudent kick ganon's a** in MM didnt help =P

Alright, zero, don't put other members down or critisize them because you can get a warning for such activities. We all have common sense, so you don't have to make yourself look tough by saying we don't.

So the people with the same idea as you that posted above you don't have common sense? Alright....

OoT was the birth of 3D Zelda, yes, not the whole saga. But still, MM had more than that, in an even smaller game. I've said it up there, but I'll say it again. You actually wanted to save these people. They were your friends, and you didn't want to see them go to waste...unless you were curious as to what happened when the moon fell. I know I was.

I thought the time limit was a wonderful idea. It was sometimes a pain to lose all your items then go get more, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. I liked the sense of being hurried, it was certainly nowhere in OoT. You could just go wandering around forever in that game, but MM actually made you go faster. It was just...genius.

firtst of all, i was just playing dumb ;) so pay the previos post no attention.

but the point is oot is better in many ways...the time limit...blah. taking things nice and slow is my way of life. in other words it is true that MM possesed a new and good feature, but it is after all the continue of oot. i didnt really felt like saving the people in MM, as ramdon said he did, i was more concerned about the time flowingX_X

Meh. I guess I'm one of the only ones who feels from video games. Ah well, your loss.

But because you got more in-depth with the NPC's, it was a better game.

Wow....I see a rivalry growing between Zero and Random *just me, dont pay me attention at all*

Either case MM was better cause it was harder, and for me it had a bigger storyline, the fact of making people happy and knowing their stories is quite good.

Exactly. I liked The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask more because it was harder. You were way more occupied with, plus, you were bombarted with tons of dungeons. Plus, the name is a LOT more interesting!!

OHHHHH YEAH!!! 300TH POST, W00T!!
