The news had spread all over Italy, and then the world. Every mafia family knew about it---the joint family of Millefiore.
What was worse, they were declaring war against Vongola, ever since the Tenth made the decision not to cooperate with them due to their unimaginative plan to obtain the ultimate power.
Everyone related to the Vongola was required to attend this meeting, no matter who it was or where they were. As long as they recognized this family, had a certain connection before or present, agreed with them that the Millefiore was too dangerous to be ignored, they must attend. It was an order from the Vongola Tenth to do so---an order and a plea, because he was like that.
The venue was the Vongola headquarters, in their huge conference room with a long table and chairs around. It was empty, for now, since no one had arrived yet. The meeting was not due to commence in an hour. There was also a note to say that the Tenth might not attend due to unforeseen circumstances, but he would if he was able to. That would mean the other Guardians were free to chair the meeting---if they got along.
[ooc: Hibari not here yet, because he's like that. Feel free to enter.]

Although it was way to early Michael already entered the room, together with his kit bag, filled with books, sheets of papers and even some video tapes. He sighed as he took a seat and started to search to his bag, staying alert for someone running in to yell old geezer to him, or something of that sorts. Before the meeting would start he would need to organize all the information he had in the first place. Yes, it would be against the rules to do this, but he had a feeling saying he had to.
While he was still organizing his information, he was already busy with getting his hair right, and trimming his beard a bit. Suddenly he stopped, looking at pictures from a time long passed, reading stories about times he already forgotten about. A smile appeared on his face.
He sat back and sighed, it had been way to long, at least this meeting could very well be the chance they needed to change this world once and for all. No, he knew for certain this would be their only chance, they either make it, or break it forever.

Yamamoto entered the meeting room, oddly first, oddly alone. In the past he'd always been around Gokudera like some red vs. blue two-for-one deal, but the mafia he dealt with in the present was no game. Alliances were starting to draw thin, and it was no surprise that the most vital of the Vongola's actions were dealt with by its seven guardians. The others had their own duties to fulfill, and like any good family, they performed their tasks with the all-for-one mentality bestowed upon them by their head. If the others weren't here yet, then they had a good reason not to be. Yamamoto was sure of that.
He took a seat by one end of the table and leaned back, scratching his side idly while he let out a heavy breath. Things were getting complicated. Much more complicated than they'd ever been. Now it was more than just them, then their Family, than their families - it was every mafia Family out there, and their families, as well. The lives of thousands would be helped or hindered by this meeting alone.
Yamamoto checked his watch. Still some time.

The Cloud Guardian was particularly unhappy when he entered the room. For once, he did not like attending meetings---it was always a crowd at meetings. If Kusakabe did not have other jobs to do, he would have been the one attending and not him, and then he could report everything in a perfect orderly manner later. It was the same. He considered using holograms, but it would make no difference really, since he was still going to be staring at a crowd. Not to mention, he did not like staring at a screen for too long.
At least the room was rather empty when Hibari came---he made sure that by arriving early, after all. He glanced towards a particular older person whom he could not recall the name, except that he was some sort of information gatherer. Perhaps he would talk to him later, since he was in the middle of a research himself. He walked to the end where Yamamoto Takeshi was, glancing once at him, and then at the chair which was where the Vongola Tenth would be sitting if he was there. Then he looked back at the man whom he remembered to be a baseball maniac during their middle school days.
"Vongola Tenth won't be around. Who's going to chair the meeting?" he asked blandly and straightforwardly, not bothering to greet first.

Yamamoto returned Hibari's look, though it hardly seemed that it was him Hibari was observing. Ah well; he was used to Hibari's indirect methods of human interaction at this point. They'd grown up together, after all. He couldn't help but feel his eyes widen at the sight of Hibari taking up Tsuna's seat in the meeting, though - the seat which should have been filled by Gokudera in Tsuna's absence (or so he'd come to accept).
"Gokudera's not coming." He said it as a statement, but really the gears of Yamamoto's mind were whirring. If the Right wasn't going to be there, then who would be? And, more importantly (well, less so, in terms of the Family, but some habits die hard), just where was Gokudera?

The man stretched and looked around again. Only two men entered so far, the ignorant one and the overzealous one. "You two sure are early. Been some time hasn't it... Anyway, if we can't get the people we need, we'll never be able to attack if we can't get the men. So far we only have three of us, this is not going to save us..." He sighed and leaned back into his chair, this was starting to turn into a serious issue.
"Is there someone not missing in action, I thought we where here for war meetings, if we don't have the manpower for the attack, this is rather useless. We can try whatever we want, but they are no easy prey, there is only one chance here, if we lose it, we're as good as done for." He sighed and started to read again, this was a rather hopeless case.

Hibari turned to glare down the table at the oldest person in the room, apparently not happy about what he was saying. He brushed his thumb across the corner of his lips before folding his arms on the table in front of him.
"I can deal with them on my own, they are just some annoying insects," he said blandly, being that confident of himself, but probably not lying either. He was the strongest among them, after all. If he were to use any rings other than the Vongola's, they would just shatter on the spot. "I'm only here because of you weaklings, otherwise I would rather stay out of this." And maybe let Tetsu take his place, since he might still want to know what had been going on. "I have my own things to do, unlike you who seem so leisurely there."

"Hmpp" was the sound that he made when Hibari was done with giving his idea on the matter. "Last time I heard that one was a long time ago, there is not much left to say about it either, he was blown to pieces, we had his left ear in the mansion though." He gave a soft laugh, but he immediately returned back to the topic of the discussion. "The strongest men in history, where never alone, behind every warrior there is one person, anyone can be this person, but he mostly is part of a group, don't be fooled on your ideas, I may be old, but it aids in my experience." After a short pause he continued. "And yes, I tend to take my time when I am save from the mindless hordes that want my life. You know, that is just like a fox, when a fox is hunted, they run till they get to a save place, then they rest till they have to run again."
"Unlike you, I am pretty much branded an outlaw for being here, the longer I stay here, the slower and more painful my dead will be. If they ever get their hands on me, but... well.. They ain't real geniuses at capturing people though." He looked down and saw his cup of coffee still standing there untouched. He smiled and drank from his coffee, now it was till hot.
