History/Background:
The Fortunato family is a relatively well known family despite the secrecy among the family members and the somewhat reclusive nature. Since the first head, they have never been too well known to the public, instead working behind the scenes and merely making temporary-allies with the majority of other families though never truly taking sides.

When the Fortunato family does take a side, it has, currently, always been for their own gain. They are not malicious in intentions, which has also landed them on the good side of most families.

During any happenings for any Mafia families, the Fortunato family has almost always stayed out, unless a family asks for their assistance which overall hasn't happened often. The only time they have taken part in any Mafia issues is when their own members are concerned or the humanity of actions is.

The heads are always chosen based on the relation with the previous, meaning nine out of ten times, it will be the previous' head son or daughter that takes over. Twice, and in Konomi's case as well, they have considered someone who was not the child and only once has it been a cousin.

The eighth head has the intentions of making allies with the Vongolas and Chiavorone, and this is one of the first times the Fortunato family has stepped out of the usual no-true-allies line they have. This is also known as playing Switzerland.

Behind the Fortunato's family neutral behavior, they are not as good natured as they would seem, and keep a darker truth hidden. The members are all born into this family, and live in Italy, just like the head. They are raised to be perfect hitmen, being put through less-than-pleasant training, ensuring they stay in tip-top shape and abilities.
Specialty:
Due to the secrecy of the Fortunato family, they are good at working behind the scenes and handling matters (like political issues between the family itself) without giving away much of a clue as to who did it. The majority of members are good with firearms and an almost given is the fact all members seem to just naturally be lucky.

Character Name: Murasaki Youko

Position Applying: Simple member (the head of the family decides wether she is worthy or not of promovation)

What You will Contribute to the Family if Accepted: Youko is an intelligent child/young woman, who is trained to handle many kinds of weapons. She is, because of the reduced height and wieght (which are naturally this way), able to move fast and hide. Luck is on her side almost all the time, but it seems to disappear when she trusts it too much.

Reason for Joining: Youko has a deep respect and admiration for the head of the family. She has more "talent" in handling weapons than in other things, so she wanted to join the army. However, some circumstances made her change her opinion, and she turned to the Mafia. Seeing that she respects the head of the family, she decided to join the Fortunato Family.

[Tsukasa Shimokawa]

Character Name: Tsukasa Shimokawa

Position Applying: Subordinate (the head of the family can decide the worth for a different position)

What You will Contribute to the Family if Accepted: Tsukasa is a skilled professional con artist, and she has the ability to deal the money out of anyone and everyone that she is ordered to use confidence art on. She is good at cleaning up after herself and making sure no clues are left behind for her to be caught. She doesn’t have much knowledge for weapons, but her talent is to fire bullets with her bare hands.

Reason for Joining: During most of daytime, Tsukasa works at La Cirque du Cle de Sol as a popular Trapeze artist, but sometimes she is also doing con art tasks. As time grows, Tsukasa sees no more use to run around tricking people from their money, and decides she should let it go. Then, however, she feared that her talent could be wasted if she didn't use it elsewhere for a better purpose; she decided to join the Fortunato family, since she viewed it as ‘one that didn’t play in affairs and wouldn’t feed off of money’(incidentally, a good family for her money to go to).
