Konomi wasn't sure why she was here. She most certainly wasn't sure why she was here. Baking was not her thing. She couldn't make anything from scratch except pasta and rice. Even the cookies she made from the boxes had a tendency to turn out burned half the time because she forgot she had even made any.

Konomi was pretty sure though that she was in the park because of 'school spirit'. The student council had decided to have a bake sale between classes. There had been fliers and even an announcement. It had stated that anyone who didn't come obviously didn't support their school.
Konomi was pretty indifferent to the whole thing. So she probably came for the food. That had to be it. She came for the food.

Looking over the scene, Konomi noted a few things. There were various little kitchens set up in a not so neat circle with a large ingredients table in the center and a few smaller ones around it.
They said this was a bake sale. This looked like a baking competition.

"Hey, you! You have to put your name in here!" someone shouted and she was rather sure they were talking to her. She noted a small table where some bored looking kid was and walked over.
"Write your name on this," the girl ordered, holding out a thin piece of paper. Konomi took it and grabbed the pen she also offered, writing her name down in messy Kanji. The girl stuffed it into a jar (there were three and she presumed she was suppose to put it in the one that was her year) where there were other slips of paper.
"We're announcing the teams in a few minutes. Go and buy some stuff if you want," she stated, pointing to a few small stands that must have been the bake sale part. Konomi nodded and headed over, just to see what they had.

Why did she come here again? Oh yes, because of the announcement the Student Council had made: "It will be taken as a sign of support to all students in Namimori Chuu". Basically, she was forced to come because she liked the Namimori students very, very much...or that was what she wanted to believe. It was not like she didn't like them very much, but the temptation she felt when she had heard about the existence of cakes was by far stronger...After she put the paper with her name in the jar she supected was for the students in her year, she started walking around and looking at the different stands (with food). Suddenly, she stopped dead in her tracks. A stand which was selling cute, little, strawberry cakes...'NOOOO! I have to walk away! I cannot give in to the temptation!' the girl thought and tried to move her feet, but they seemed glued to the ground in front of the stand, as well as her eyes, on the cakes. Inside her there was a battle going on, but from afar it looked like she was trying to burn the cakes...all of them...

Ryohei ran in he didn't know exactly what it was but he had one seen a flier and two heard Kyoko talk about it. Which from what he heard was a competition, and Ryohei was one that couldn't have enough competitions it was what made the world go round. He thought with a brilliant smile, he could already smell the victory that came in sweet bite sized sweets. The only problem that lay before him and victory was that he didn't know how to well bake.

"Oiii I forgot something important I can't BAKE!!!!" he yelled as if it was everyone's problem.

Well forget such a minor detail he would not be stopped by such a thing. There was always more than one road to victory. Also he knew which road he would take. If he couldn't bake good he'd make sure no one else could bake good either. Then he would tell the buyers to buy his cookies. It was a sweet idea he thought a superb idea that would get him first place. As he thought this he walked over to the counter were he figured you would sign up. He walked up to the table with a big aura about him.

"Sign me up!!! I will win this bake sale!!!!" He yelled as if he was addressing the world.

Hearing her brother's voice, Kyoko whipped her head around to look at him. 'Phew...I think nobody noticed...' the girl thought, sighing relieved. She wouldn't want there to be rumors about her having a sweet tooth. She just din't like it! She ran towards her brother, smiling at his antiques. It was quite a sight to see the person at the booth looking at Onii-chan that shocked..."You're entering the competition, too? Onii-chan?"

"Bake sale." Gokudera looked at the flier and thought to himself. 'I wonder if Jyuudaime would like a cake or something,' he wondered. It was decided then; he would go to buy something for Tsuna.

Upon reaching the place where the "sale" was being held, he frowned and crossed his arms. This was no sale, it was a competition. The thought went through his mind a few times while he stood there, blocking traffic.

What if he won the competition? He could impress the 10th with his skills. He never really cooked before, but it couldn't be much different than chemistry, right? He just had to keep the measurements perfect.

He shook his head; he didn't even see Tsuna anywhere. How could he impress someone that wasn't there? So, still debating, Gokudera continued stand in one spot. He looked up briefly when Ryohei hollered, but didn't pay much attention. "Stupid Turf-head. He's so loud," he muttered.

"Wow, it looks like our entire school is here almost!" Tsuna couldn't help but exclaim with wonder, turning to look at the various people there.

The main reason he had come (and mostly to Reborn's suggestion) was to see if he could spend some time with Kyoko. Even if he couldn't be alone with her, as long as he was with her, then everything would be perfect.

"Here Tsuna-kun, try this cake I made!" Kyoko's sweet voice rang in his mind.

"Is this really for me?" Tsuna returned ecstatically.

She giggled and nodded, holding a small slice out to him.

"Arigatou, Kyoko-chan!"

He was snapped out of his fantasy when he heard Ryohei's loud voice from where he stood, and then heard Gokudera's soft mutter.

"Gokudera-kun!" Tsuna called, jogging up to him. "Are you here for the competition as well?"

Not that Tsuna himself was really here for the competition. It was just a way to get closer to Kyoko, especially since it seemed like they hadn't had as much time to hang out like before. He wouldn't have even started talking to her if it hadn't been for Reborn's arrival. Most likely he would have still been known as "No-Good Tsuna" and still would have made up lame excuses to get out of anything and everything.

Ryohei had been busy talking, yelling, at the front desk when he heard his sister beside him. He looked over at her, hmm Kyoko was here was she having one of her Kyoko appreciation days or something? The thought circulated through his mind a couple of time before it left his mouth like a jump.

"Kyoko you here for your appreciation day, huh?!" He said out loud completely forgetting that Kyoko may not want people to hear.

No sooner had he said that than he saw some familiar faces, it was octopus head and Tsuna. He ran over there completely forgetting the front desk at this point to talk to Tsuna. Why was he here to enter the competition if he was then a face off would be great it was always good to exchange a few blows between friends. Though this was a baking competition it would not have any punches...yet.

"Oi Tsuna...Octopus head, are you here to join the competition, let me tell you I will be the one to win this contest!!!" He yelled so that not only the two could hear but everyone else to.

It seemed like there were plenty of people arriving, Konomi noted, looking to the front desk where some were putting their names in the appropriate jar. There was one person who looked about her age that was practically screaming he'd win. That was Ryohei she was sure. He was always loud and it made her glad that she didn't stand around him given his tendency to shout.

There was a girl who came up behind him and doing her best to listen, Konomi was a bit surprised to hear her address Ryohei as her brother. They looked nothing alike and they certainly didn't seem like they'd act alike. Moving on, she spotted that Vongola and what looked like his sidekick.

Ryohei seemed to know the pair, she mused, and winced a bit as he screamed how he would win. Could he even bake? Konomi recalled him being in charge of the boxing club, not home economics or the knitting club. Well it'd amusing to watch, she supposed.

Konomi walked over to the stands, deciding to buy a few sweets. She looked over the pastries, stopping at a particular one that was selling some tiramisu. "I'll take a square," the red head stated and the girl standing behind the booth nodded.
"Five hundred yen."
Konomi grabbed the requested amount from her pocket and put into the jar, taking the small paper plate she was handed. She walked over to Tsuna and his friends, carefully eating the dessert on the way.

Gokudera turned around when he heard a familiar voice. "Jyuudaime! I'm glad you're here," he greeted. After a moment's thought, he spoke again. "We should enter the baking contest together. I'll do my best to help you win if we're on the same team," he explained. Gokudera's face suddenly went serious. "And if we're not on the same team, I'll to my best to help you win," he said, an almost evil flash in his eyes.

His gaze snapped over to Ryohei when the loud leader of the boxing club walked over to them. "Jyuudaime will win! Nobody stands a chance against him. Especially you, Turf-head!" Gokudera retored, though not nearly as loudly. The silver haired boy smirked at Tsuna and gave him a thumbs up. "I'm rooting for you, Jyuudaime! Do you want me to sign us up now?" he asked.

Before he got an answer, Gokudera started walking off towards the admission booth. He wrote his own name on a slip and stuck it in the appropriate jar. He would wait for Tsuna to write his own name.

((OOC: Sorry for shortness. Kinda rushed 8D; ))

Kyoko blushed beet red at hearing her brother's words. "Geez, Onii-chan..." She could not scold him, though, since she knew he hadn't meant anything bad with it. She simply sighed, and smiled at him.

Almost at the same time as her brother, the girl saw the two familiar figures standing not too far of them. She followed Onii-chan as he ran over to her two classmates. "Hi, Tsuna-kun! Gokudera-kun!" the girl greeted, smiling at them sweetly. It was nice to know that there were people she knew around, too, and even nicer if she formed a pair with one of them. After all, it was easier to cook if the person cooking with you was a familiar one.

She simply stood there, giggling at her brother's and friend's antiques. Although it may have been annoying to someone else, she liked the noisy atmosphere between them: it was a proof that they were very good friends. She noticed a girl with something in a bag heading towards them. She stared at her curiously.
