[ooc: Some time before they arrive in the future through the bazooka. Feel free to attack join.]
The Vongola 10th was killed.
The tiny yellow bird fluttered off, and a hand ran through his hair. Subconsciously, he brushed over his middle finger, where it was missing a ring like everyone should have. He had left it empty on purpose.
It was where his Vongola ring used to be. The destroyed one. Ordered by the past Sky ring holder.
Hibari Kyouya glanced at the foreign environment around him. Italy was no longer a safe country. Wars, among the mafia families, with the Millefiore on one side against everyone. He had nowhere to go, with the headquarters already fallen into their hands. Not that he liked to go there anyway. But it was also dangerous, even as he stood in the woods, dressed in his formal black suit. He could be ambushed anytime, by the good side or the bad side, who knew. Everyone had to stay alert.
How did he get involved in this anyway? He could not remember. All he thought of was to find out what those instruments were made of---the rings and boxes. He had gathered a lot of information, but not enough. And with that person gone...
He let out a sigh. "Such a soft person...of course the Millefiore can get rid of him that easily."
He had to return to Japan. The foreign air was bothering him. He started walking over bushes, trying to find his way out of that place. He had been hiding from some enemy guards, having becoming bored of fighting those weaklings. He reminded himself to wash himself after he got out of that place, too.

It was such a fine day, and yet, Youko had to do the shopping for her mother. It was her first visit home after 5 years, and she had to carry TWO FULL AND HEAVY SHOPPING BAGS!!!! 'Why can't Brother do that? Why me?' Even though she was already a 24-year-old woman, her hate for shopping did never really change.
She was dressed in a pretty casual outfit: a simple black T-shirt and some shorts. They were the first pieces of clothing she had gotten her hand on, and she didn't expect to waste time on the streets either, so why should she look harder? Besides, a casual outfit would be the best disguise to hide herself from the Millefiore mafiosi (it was not like she didn't want to fight some of them, but her Boss would have her head if she ever tried something like that...).
She was currently walking on a remote street, with bushes growing on both sides of it. It was quieter than the other ones, with no mafiosi whatsoever on it. Youko kind of liked the peace it provided...A peace she would no longer find, even in Japan. The woman wanted to sigh, but didn't even get the chance. A clear voice resounding on the street alerted all of her senses. She tensed, ready to jump at any given time.
"Did you find any Vongola yet?"
Youko knew that voice. Maybe even better than she would have preferred. If she wanted to get away quietly, she had to keep a low profile. To keep a low profile, she had to make sure nobody knew her. If that man found her, her whole "Get-away-fithout-getting-hit-by-Boss-later" plan would go straight down the drain! In a moment, she was already stumbling in the thick bushes, the best hiding place she could find right then. Before she could let her guard down though, she felt a presence behind her. She whipped her head around, shocked.
"H-Hibari Kyoya?"

He had to double back twice, having come upon his enemies as he tried to leave. They were on to him, he knew. After all, he had just beaten one of them to hell earlier. They probably had the woods surrounded by then. He wondered if his feathered companion had exposed itself, but he doubted it. He trusted those birds, or he would not have them as his pets.
And just as he had to turn around another time, he heard some rustles close up. His feet shuffled back a little to gain some distance between the intruder and himself, though he seemed rather calm. His eyes fell on a girl in casual clothes, and he heard her stuttering his name.
"Who wants to know?" he asked, his expressionless eyes gazing at her. An enemy, or an ally? Or perhaps a random passer-by, except they wouldn't know who he was. Anyhow, he did not recognize her. His arms were loose by his sides, fingers ringless, not even moving to obtain his weapons.

Youko was unable to utter a word as she stared at the man in front of her. She hadn't seen him since middle school, which she felt like it had been a very long time ago. After middle school, she went to a high school in a different city, away from the Sawada and the others, and then immediately entered the Fortunato Family, thus inevitably cutting off every connection she had once had with the Vongola.
"Who wants to know?" he asked, his expressionless eyes gazing at her. Youko had to supress her laughter. 'It's so like Hibari-san!' she thought amused. The young woman smiled at him, trying to prove that she was not an enemy. "Just an old acquaintance from middle school...Although it seems Mr. Disciplinary Comitee Chairman does not remember me." She had tried to keep her voice as low as possible, but Lady Luck didn't seem to want it that way.
"Who's there?" she heard the voice of the Millefiore mafioso again coming closer and closer. Youko cursed under her breath, grabbing her shopping bags. "Why did HE have to come here? My flawless plan..." she muttered, glaring at the bags as if it were their fault for everything. She looked around, only to find out that there was no other hiding place available. The young woman sneeked a peek at Hibari, before training her eyes on the figure aproaching. 'I can't take out my ring...not with him here...'

He looked like he wasn't listening to her, but he was, and at the same time keeping on the alert as well. He heard her explanation, and realized that it was another schoolmate from Namimori. Not that he remembered which one. Why would one be doing here, of all places, anyway? He would not trust her still until he knew what she was doing there.
"I do not need to remember a herbivore," he responded, just before the enemy's voice traveled to them. Tch, of all times. He glanced towards the voice, and then to the girl, wondering for a second on her last statement, but decided not to bother.
"Don't tell them where I'm going, or I'll bite you dead. I don't have time." He turned and started walking away.

Youko sweatdropped at Hibari's statement. 'Should have expected it...' she thought, as she got out a simple black mask from the pocket of her shorts. She did it all as her ex-schoolmate was with the back turned on her: she put the mask on, took out her ring, and as silently as possible, got out of the bushes. She kind of knew it was impossible for Hibari NOT to notice all the commotion a fight would cause, but if there was a chance she wanted to bet on it (She wanted to defeat the stupid guy who stood in her way BEFORE he discovered her identity...she would be in an awful situation if it was found out that a member of the Furtunato Family was in Japan, and she didn't to explain anything. At all.).
She woke her Ring, the gem of a complicated color burning wildly with a yellow flame. She took out the box that contained her staff and immediately activated it. She didn't dare to take out the animal box, as well, since she knew she would be recognized, but was sure the good-ol' weapon was enough to take out this guy for a few hours. She immediately charged towards the Millefiore mafioso, not giving him enough time to think, and hit him over the nape as hard as she could. The collision made a sickening sound, and the man fell on the ground, unconscious. Thank God she had trained her speed! And Thank God the guy who knew her was pretty weak!

He had given himself some distance from where he met the girl, but paused when he heard the cries of a battle behind him. He did not have to glance around to tell whether he was followed, or who was involved. From the sound of it, his enemies were losing to someone.
And there could only be one person in that direction who would do that.
"Only way to find out," he murmured, looking towards his left. He picked up a stone, walked a little till he caught sight of an enemy thug, and threw it. It hit the man square in the head.
"Oops," he said with a little smirk as a couple more men were summoned after him. He turned and started dashing, conveniently dodging the bullets as if they were nothing. He could sense the number of enemies behind...one, two, three. Three of them. He could take care ten times of that, but his interest was not there at the moment.
And at that moment, the name of the girl came to mind. "Murasaki Youko!" he called, sliding forward to evade a bullet and out of their sight. He was leading them to her. Time to see what she would do.

As she heard her name being called, Youko instantly tensed. 'Don't tell me: I'VE BEEN DISCOVERED BY THESE GUYS???' All blood drained from her face, as she silently let out a scream. She instantly recovered though, her lips twisting into a very strange smirk. "He, he...You won't be able to tell anyone...I assure you of that..." Her silent evil laugh became a loud, witch-like laughter. She adopted a stance and waited for the enemy to come. 'Come and try to get me!' she mentally smirked, as she looked in the direction of the call.
About a few seconds later, she saw the ones who (she thought, at least) had called her name. They were four: three seemed from the Millefiore, but the fourth...Her mouth flew open in shock. 'What's Hibari Kyoya doing, being followed by these guys? Is he not strong enough to take them all on?' She immediately ignored the thought though. 'No, it can't be...And Idon't think he is the one who called me: he said himself that he doesn't recognize me! So, that leaves the other two...' Youko didn't wait for them to approach any more. She charged herself towards the three in the highest speed she could manage, and hit on of them with the staff square in the stomach. She had caught the last in the "row" so she turned around as quick as she could, dashing towards one of the two left.

"Wao." Hibari stood up, brushing his suit. He had confirmed his thought, and that was quite enough. The next thing he had to uncover was which family she was from---obviously not Millefiore, from the way she attacked them. And not Vongola, he was sure. He had a list of them, and her name was definitely not in it.
He shook his hair, picked a leaf out. He wondered how strong she was now, and desired no more than to test her further.
"Don't let a girl be the boss of you, piles of trash," he spoke, as if he was supporting the side of the enemies. It was just a way of mocking them, since it usually brought out the best of them, but in this case, he doubted it would do any different.

He watched her end the battle, and fall into mad laughter. What was she, crazy or strong? He was not amused, but not like he cared anyway.
He walked over to the fallen men, ignoring her. He glanced over fainted ones, lifted an arm or two, inspecting the ends of them. Finally, he gave up, dropping it and straightening up. Apparently there was no loot which he could take.
"Nice job, Murasaki Youko," he said, though it neither sounded like a compliment nor a critique. "I don't even need to lift a finger. However, this was really just a waste of time." He walked over a body away from her.

The moment she heard her name coming from his mouth, the young woman froze. She looked very silly, all bent on the pavement, in the middle of hitting it, but she didn't care. She hadn't even noticed that her mask had slipped! "What the-! You REMEMBERED me?" Youko looked, unknown to her, like a fish gaping for air. She looked...silly...
Youko jumped up, gripping the staff in her right hand. As quick as she could, she took out a pair of leather gloves and put them on. Even though so much time had passed from their last meeting and Hibari was sure to have changed (proof was the fact that he had delayed his attack against her...if he DID plan to, that is...), she had this nagging feeling that he would not let her get away that easily. Not when he found out she was part of the Mafia. 'I could have screamed it loud for the whole world to hear, and the result would have been the same...' She inwardly sighed at her bad luck. 'I'm sorry, Boss...'
The young woman lifted the staff so that she could block what attack may come. She wasn't very confident about her attack skills, but when it came to protection, she was almost the best at it.

"Is it so surprising?" he asked, walking over a bush. "It just came to mind randomly. I would forget it by the time I'm out of here, but it does not seem like the case anymore." Indeed, she was already engraved in his mind as a possible strong person. But unlike long ago, he was no longer interested in picking up fights merely to prove himself. A look at it was enough.
He glanced behind him. "Why, do you really think I would waste my time on you? You just tackled a few men of the Millefiore. However, you are still a weakling no matter how you want me to see it. By the way, I suggest you put away those before you attract more. You have already exposed yourself in front of me, and I could summon more if you continue."
He put a finger to his chin. "I am curious to know, though. From where do you obtain those rings, and where do you come from? You are not in these men's allies, that's all I'm sure."
