Bienvenue
~Welcome to The Third Estate. Set in Paris in the summer of 1794, this alternate-history RP allows you to decide the outcome of the Revolution. The Reign of Terror is in full swing; Robespierre heads the bloodthirsty Committee of Public Safety. The Debate Floor Here we discuss matters of state. It can get heated, and people often speak over each other, siding aggressively with their own factions... or not, in which case the drama really begins. This is also where people stand trial for conspiring against the aims of the Revolution.

The Enragés Opposed to the Jacobins but supported by the Sans-Culottes, the Enragés hold a very tenuous position indeed. Amongst the radicals they associate with, they feel themselves the only reasonable faction, and propose practical measures, like price control, to prevent class imbalance... but practicality is increasingly becoming obsolete in the blood-soaked politics of the House of Governance.

The Sans-Culottes A great deal of private whispering goes on among this populist group. Whom they support, who is falling out of favor... in the House of Governance, rumors can mean the guillotine for whomever falls under suspicion.

Robespierre's Chambers The Committee of Public Safety decides who gets the guillotine, and often its members meet in private with Robespierre after the General Assembly. Only prominent members are allowed in to speak with him.
