Okay, here's chapter 9. It took my a little bit to write, and the ending isn't great, cause I couldn't think of a good way to end it. So here you go!
Chapter 9: Nightmare
Meanwhile, Nina was in her room. Robin had told her she needed to rest, and he'd make sure no one would disturb her. She felt embarssed. 'They must think I'm weak,' she thought. "Maybe I really am," she said, this time outloud.
She rolled over on her side, and fingered one of her golden-blue strands of hair. Nina missed her family. She missed her mother's beautiful chocolate brown hair, and her father's deep blue eyes. .
She closed her eyes, but she didn't know why. She wasn't even tierd. And before she knew it, she was fast asleep.
~Dream Sequence~
Nina was sitting in a small house, in what looked like a kitchen. "Nina did you do your chores?" asked a gruff voice from behind her. "Oh sorry I forgot, can I do them later?" Nina asked looking up into her father's eyes.
"So you wan to wait to eat?" Her father asked. "Well, no," Nina replied quietly. "Well then, neither do the horses," he said. "Okay," Nina said sitting up and rolling her eyes.
She walked outside, to see her three year old brother, Lucas, playing with one of the kittens. "Hi sissy," Lucas said getting up, and walking over to Nina. "Hello Lucas, are you being a good boy?" she asked her little brother. A smile grew on Lucas's face as he replied, "me and Ticey are playing."
Nina smiled, she loved how her brother called the kitten Ticey, who's real name was Icey. "Can me and Ticey, come with you to feed the horseys?" Lucas asked. "No, but when I get back, I'll read you one of your favorite stories,"Nina replied to the child's question.
Suddenly, her world went dark, and it comes back into view, the sight is horrible. Her house is in ruins, and slowly burning. Dead animals, ash, and smoke, are all visible.
Then Nina could hear a voice from behind her house. She slowly walked to the back of her house, afraid of what she might see. But before she can see what's happening, a voice sounds from behind her.
"Amazing how one little flame can be so destructive." Nina turned quickly to see the man who had attacked her from earlier. "You, your the one who did this," Nina hissed from clenched teeth.
"Yes, I was the one," he answered smiling. "Who are you?" she asked. She wanted to rush forward, and attack him, but she felt something pulling her back. "My name is Draik, and I work for a man, well if you could consider him a man, by the name of DeMont," Draik answered.
Tears of anger and frustation filled her eyes. "All your friends are going to die like this," Draik continued, smiling wickedly, "and it's all your fault." Suddenly, Nina rushed forward, but before she could attack, Draik dissappered.
