Hoopsfan-Hope to see you at some of the games. Do you ever go to road games? I go to all the home games at cmsu, unless I have a game or practice of my own...so I might see you....

Anyways just makin this thread because I heard there were a few followers of D2 baseball.....

Catawba lost in the southeast finals I think. They were 44-12 on the year.

MOC might now be CVAC, I can't remember.

Catawba is ranked 2nd in the south regional poll right now and MOC is ranked 6th in the south-atlantic region.

Yea, Tampa's good.

I follow Catawba, Pfeiffer, and MOC because I have guys from my high school playing at those schools. I go back and help my high school coaches every spring when I can and it feels good to see some players that you somewhat coaches playing in college.

Catawba lost a lot of power from last year, but they should be really fast this year. They're also decently young.

I'm surprised that Nebraska-Omaha isn't ranked higher. They are a very sharp team and almost went to the world series. I think I watched them play like 7 times last year. They looked very sharp, great offense and pretty good pitching to go along with it.

I really don't know why Emporia State is up there at 9th in the rankings. Pretty much half their team were seniors last year so they lost a lot of talent. Yeah, they went to the College World Series but I believe they were 2 and done. I guess it will change as time passes....I'd put UCM a little higher but I guess thats them....we're 1-1 with the only loss coming to Rice, 0-5. Wasn't really expecting us to win in that one but I guess we gave a fight. I guess we will see over time.

Went to the UCM/Pitt State game tonight....was great pitching/defense on both sides, UCM pulled it out 1-0. 4 Hits for both teams totaling 8 combined. Fastest game I've watched in a while.
