Title: Week 6

So another great week of college football down, though I didn't get to see much of it (saw the 4th quarter of the VT-Miami game and a couple minutes of Texas-Oklahoma and that's it). However, what we have found this weekend....

Texas = paper tiger. I didn't think they were quite a national contender or anything yet.. but they were purely dominated by Oklahoma. Just pure anhilation. Dominated by every statistical category except punting (and some cheap first downs late). I think the Horns are in for another long season. But they'll at least make a crappy bowl this year.

Really Arizona? Couldn't even beat Oregon State? I'm guessing 2011 will be it for the Mike Stoops era. He just hasn't gotten that program over the hump.

On the flip side, Mark Richt, is saving his job. A big win over Tennessee... the Bulldogs now sit at 4-2 and they should be able to 8-4 or so... if not 9-3.

And Florida has been exposed in the last couple weeks as what they were. A pretender. Florida will be lucky to win 8 this year IMO.

And what the hell happened this week to Virginia Tech? Last week, the offense couldn't get anything giong against Clemson's defense. Now, THIRTY-EIGHT points???? Where did this come from? Previously overmatched Logan Thomas now goes 23-25 for 310 yards and 3 TDs. Huh??? Then the DEFENSE looks over matched on the flip side. Again, HUH??? But hey, the Hokies win, and our hopes to win the ACC stay alive.

Miami isn't nearly as good as Clemson, simple.

I know Clemson is better than Miami. Frankly, I think Clemson is clearly the best ACC team right now. That said, I was concerned that Miami's defense would shut down the offense again. What I didn't expect was that their offense would run all over our D. I expected more of a 14-10 game than a 38-35 game.
