Anyone planning to watch some of this the next couple of weeks? Seems to me that the skiing, snowboarding, bobsledding, etc. events should be a little hairy with NO real snow in the city.

I absolutely cannot get into the winter olympics. I can watch a little bit of downhill skiing, but after watching three or four people doing the same course, it gets old. I despise figure skating, even though there is usually some hot ass competing. Hockey is alright, and if it's on I'd probably watch it a bit if the US is on. I don't mind seeing highlights of the snowboarding half pipe events, but when I watch that crap live, all I see is dudes flying through the air doing what seem to be the same trick, followed by the announcer saying "oh that was a brilliant double reverse 720 nacho cheese dip with an inverted fakey cookie monster" or some equally strange gibberish.

Curling is the bomb, though.

I once had a Canadian guy get mad at me when, somehow, while a bunch of us were playing 4-square on the UT campus, we got on a subject that led me to mention that curling wasn't a sport.

Were you discussing the merits of 4 square as a possible sport?

Now that you mention it, I think somebody said something like "Dude 4-square should totally be an Olympic sport"

I hope no one made the mistake of watching the figure skating, as I did.

Figure skating was much cooler when bitches were putting hits out on their competition.
