DIRECTORY GUIDELINES

1. For every character you create, you MUST create a separate new account. There are many, many reasons for this, e.g. rank titling and possible future pack color coding, but all you really need to know for now is that while you don't necessarily have to use separate accounts for role playing, it is mandatory that you make them.

2. One profile per character. You are welcome to make a topic in Unrelated Chat compiling all your character profiles so that you can link them in your signature or whatever you want, but in the Character Directory every character must have their own profile.

CHARACTER RULES

1. This is a semi-realistic role play, and sometimes it's hard to know where to draw the line on fantasy. Things such as coat color, patterns, eye color, and size (to a point) may be unrealistic. Characters can have decorative jewelry such as necklaces, collars, or earrings without any realistic explanation of where they came from. However, characters have to more or less resemble their species - feathers, wings, cobra fangs, and other similar additions that are just completely out there are not allowed.

2. No "hellhounds" or "hellbeasts".

3. While slightly impossible species crosses such as wolf-hyena (like Rhapsody) or dog-jackal are permitted, crosses like cougar-wolf are NOT accepted. In other words, nothing feline-canine, canine-equine, or anything like that. Let's keep it canine-canine and so on. Besides being unrealistic to a point beyond what Phantasma goes to, a character that is a cross between a lion and a wolf is likely to have some unfair fighting advantages if it ends up with claws, fangs, night vision, and imossible strength.

4. Currently we have no specific size restrictions, and hopefully we won't need them anytime soon. Basically, just don't create a six-foot character or a one-inch one either. Yes, Darians and Rau'shen - especially Darians - tend to be large, but they aren't really a separate breed or anything, and their size is at least fairly realistic.

5. Foxes, horses, cougars, wolves, dogs, and most other animals you can think of are allowed. You're welcome to create them, just don't necessarily expect a great welcome for them wherever they go if they don't fit in any of the existing groups.

6. Character designs absolutely must be one hundred percent originally yours. Unless somebody gives you permission to use their design, you may NOT use it - and please don't just change the colors and use the exact same markings and call it yours. Believe it or not, we can tell the difference.

7. There are no humans in Slavia, although there once were a long, long time ago. There is also no way to leave Slavia and no way to reach Slavia from anywhere else. To make a long story short, no humans.

PROFILES

1. Please follow the Profile Template if you're having any trouble; it's there for you to use. You don't have to use it as a guide, but remember to try and include the basic elements in your profile.

2. There is no application system on Phantasma, and you don't need a staff member to "accept" your character. This means that we're trusting you to be up to the site standards and follow the rules. However, we will be keeping an eye out - more senior and active members as well as staff - for profiles that don't seem up to par. If you're given advice from someone about your profile, and what they're saying complies with the rules, please follow it. It saves everyone a lot of time and trouble.
