The trees stretch off endlessly in either direction, and the pathways are filled with mists. It is perpetually dawn, and the crickets and frogs make their chorus here. It's too easy to get lost.

Is was, they say, a prosperous city once. Nobody knows what happened, but only fools live out here nowadays. The stones are mossy and the buildings have collapsed in on themselves, and the mist is everywhere. Those that dare enter often run, screaming, right back out, telling tales of gigantic, reptilian forms in the folds of the mist.

A land covered in gargantuan bones, the decaying remnants of the world's last giants. Some of the overlarge skeletons seem almost new, while the others have been bleached white by the unforgiving sun.

The Seven Steppes
The grass here is yellow, but does not seem to be parched or dry. There are few trees except for those near rivers or lakes, and although the first steppe starts on level with the Wastes, they go up and up and up.

The Pale Wood
A medium-sized grouping of closely-clustered trees, stripped completely of leaves, their bark frosty white. They seem to be huddling together to escape some unseen cold. Ghosts wander here, and spectral dreams that can trap the unwary.

The Outer Walls
The city is large, sprawling... larger than any one person can concievably imagine, but it all manages to be contained by this tall, stone wall. There are four entrances into the city at the four cardinal points, and all are loosely guarded.

In this area of the city, it is perpetually noontime. The sun is shining full force when it is not raining or storming. It is always bustling and full of activity here, no matter what time it is.

Finally, we arrive at the last district. Here, the streetlamps are always well lit because the sun never rises here. It is the underbelly of the city, the seat of all crime and disruption. This is a frightening place to the uninitiated.

A section of the Briarside inhabited by large, stately trees. It is a peaceful place, quiet and possibly the most normal of the rest of the October Country, and they say the elves make their home here, but only through the guidance of elves can someone find such a place.
