Winter - 01/11/08 Winter is a dangerous time for any wolf and this year is no exception. As the cold weather wraps itself around the world, the settings change and many animals find safety underground. However, for the Sioux wolves, life has to continue and that means hunting and sleeping in the company of cooling winds and harsher fears. May the heavens watch over you, as the future holds more than just worry....

First Year The Beginning of Winter
The Temperature.... 6°C | 40°F
The Outlook....Winter is not just a time of worry and fear for many wolves, it also beholds many new situations and experiences that can help one develop and change as they grow. However, Winter has to be respected. Many plants and animals find their santuary asleep or underground and so, hunting becomes far more difficult as the season grows ever more harsh. It is a time of beauty, of hopes for the coming new year but also a time of danger and fear that must be dealt with carefully....

The Penka Lair.... This is the area for the Alpha's. Classified mainly as their den, most wolves are not allowed to enter unless given permission by an Alpha. However, the area around the den is thought to be a safe haven. Many choose to sleep and eat here as the thought of being near others is comforting.

The Aguipi Pile.... This area is one and only the place where the pack's food is collected and placed. In this area there are many imaginable types of food as well as the safety of a greedy wolf having first pickings. There is always the danger though of having to fight your way to the food, as many hidden treasures can be found within the pile; of course these will only be issued first come, first served. To many it seems like a massive pile of food, hence the name 'The Aguipi Pile'.

The Inyan Circle.... A sacred place is the impression of some whilst many would like to call it safety, the place for the sorcerers to work their magic and conjure many different and unique products and healings for the many wolves both within and around the pack. Stepping into the circle, allows you to enter the area of magic, of sorcerers work and the meanings behind medicine and faviourable additions. Of course though once entered, the area that the Inyan Circle lies in, is dangerous. Many have allowed the power of the area to eat away at them as they stare down into its almost well-like appearance, draining them of all strength and knowledge they have ever gained. So whilst, in its happiness it is a safe and secure place, it can also be a worrying and fearful one.

The Kanji Forest.... The forest heads out to the north, flurishing and growing as its life-line progresses away from the clearing. This blanket of dense canopy surronds the pack's loam, spreading its fingers back and forth to create a barrier between the dangerous wilderness and the open land. Looking up, many-a-wolf have said to see the eyes of the wood breathing its life upon the pack; allowing it to change within the so called 'safety net' of time.

The Chante Mirror.... Wolves had ventured to this sacred place to find the hidden truth that is offered to each individual wolf in turn. The lake is not that of friendly, mind you. Many stories have told of creatures emerging from its depths to walk the land like slaves, then dissappearing as quickly as they had come. However, there is much peace and happiness that greets both strangers and frequent uses but don't be fooled, the power of this lake is not to be underestimated.

Mysterious Scenes
The Maka Tunnel.... To the southern lands we see the patrolling scavengers and the distant and fearless enemies of the Sioux wolves. However, there are also surprises; surprises in the form of not danger but thrill.
The Maka Tunnel is a well forbidden area to any one wolf but at times; when it is needed, the barrier is opened and the gifts can be collected. Many a wolf find themselves trapped in this tunnel if curiousity takes a too serious role in the adventure that is sure to greet every wolf that journeys there.
Dimensions:
3 foot width;
Varied length (multiple number of tunnels); and
5 foot height.
The Litka Sea.... The western lands present a wolf with the unending and superb views that lay like a collage of nature at a wolf's feet. From the cliff, at the edge of the pack's land, at first and last light an event can be seen over the 'sea' (the outer loam territory of the pack), but only at certain times of the year.
However, dangers may present themselves to an unwilling or overconfident wolf. Yes, the scenes are wonderful but they may change a wolf in more than one way. Just remember, not all good things are pleasent.
Dimensions:
There are no real dimensions. The loam stretches far beyond a clear measurement. It is a place of dreams, not of extent.
