Actually, another downside in my opinion is that there are no online achievements. Although that's debatable.

Yeah a lot of people bitch about online achievments, mostly the ones who dont have online, not all people are as privaleged as us melt *cough* LTbrad *cough*

Acctualy you get loads of online achievements! For instance, you get a badge and 20 points for knifing 5 people in one round, or blowing up 5 vehicles with C4 without dyeing

battlefield 2 has lots of awards as well and they are very similar to those of CoD. what does differ is the amount of points you get. on battlefield 2 you dont get points for awards (i think STEdmond will correct me). oh and many awards take a long time to get such as expert sniper, in which you have to have been playing as a sniper for 100 hours and get like 30 kills in one round. so some awards take ages to get.
