Shadowrun General Chat

So who here plays Shadowrun? I've been playing it for a little while now and I'm quite fond of it. It's a nice break from Halo but it's kind of hard to make the transition between games since you can't teleport through walls on Halo >.< .

I usually play as an Elf and use Smoke and an SMG to make hit and run kills and usually buy the spell Resurrect early in the game to try and keep the team alive but those of you that play will know that resurrecting people means I can’t smoke as much >.< .

So for those of you that play/have played What do you like about it? What character do you usually play? What are your tactics? ect?

Well i started playing at Melts house the other day. and it is AWWWESSOMME, at first i sucked at it for the first gamr, but then i randomly gained this skill on the second game and started to own, i use the same character and weapons and spells as melt, because it allows you to be a fast strike soldier, just like an elf is supposed to be

I'm a little pissed at it right now since I was going for the unstoppable achievement. I had 7 kills and no deaths and it was only the third round but then the server quit and we all got disconnected >.< . Oh well, I'll try again later.

But on the plus side, I'm getting really good with the Katana .

I played it pretty much non-stop this weekend and managed to get a further 9 achievements for it.

yeah its a pretty cool game, especially using smoke and strangle to annoy people, you can just cast strangle at the artefact, and unless they have a dwarf, they'll generally winch and get really annoyed

Ahh Shadowrun, Definately a good choice!! I havent been online that much really, ive been botting, but thats since i havent really had time to go online for quite a while.
I ,like Melt and Comet, am an elf. I dunno, i like to keep it simple when i do it. No trolls with gliders and a minigun though.... im a rather large fan of the katana, and teleport.

Ahh yes the infamous troll with a glider, you can usually spot these hereditary species gliding into 5 enemies due to the fact that they believe they are invincible. I myslef am playing as an elf at the moment, with a rifle/smg with a Katana, my spells are usually gust, teleport, res, and then when i have enough money i buy the most awesome spell summon

I seem to remember your weapons being just an SMG with a rifle accross your back and your only spell being smoke otherwise I wouldn't have been able to gust you out of it all those times ^.^

i a fan of the summon spell...its a bit expensive but its worth it in the end...

id have to say my favourite maps are dig site and temple

in agreeance with you miniman, apart from when you have summon, you chuck it right next to where someone on your team has already chucked one.

Yeah, if two minions are near eachother no matter what team they're on they will fight to the death. The most annoying thing someone can do when you summon a minion is summon another one right next to it; it just wastes your essence and you have to wait fucking ages for the spell to cooldown again. Having siad that, guess who does it for fun .

Well i played Shodowrun at Meltdowns and i was ok, but nothing special.

I should however be playing it on the 7th (Thursday) at LtBrads so if anyone fancies a game then get online

In think LT said he was gonna get it soon, lol he should have got it instead of two worlds and vampire rain, the two single worst games in teh world lololol
