the lion's roar is a literate/advanced roleplaying site, a crossover of harry potter and the chronicles of narnia. we currently only accept harry potter canons (be fair, look how many there are!), but original narnians are allowed. you must reserve your character in the canon list before posting an application.

subplot two remus lupin ; charlotte vance
it was a black winter night as she stumbled on and with every step grew closer to the ground
Charlotte Vance was the type of girl who was popular without trying to, the one who can simply walk into a room and people are somehow just drawn to her. She didn’t ask for it, but she has it. And I don’t even know what “it” is; but whatever it may turn out to be she surely has a case of ititis. Charlie doesn’t even need to ask somebody and they will voluntarily be her potions partner, she could just look at somebody and they will request to be paired with her for transfiguration. All because people just seem to flock to her. She doesn’t know how to explain it, for not even she has any idea in the slightest what it could be. It’s just one of those things in life that are unexplainable to even the most logical thinking person (in this case, Charlie). Unfortunately for Charlie, once you’re at the top, the only way to go is down.
It was a particularly rainy night that changed the course of Charlie’s life; she was patrolling the edge of the forest (as a Head Student it was one of her duties) when she spotted something glinting a short way from the edge. Shrugging, Charlie decided to investigate. As she approached it, she realised that it was merely a silver-coloured thread, but when she got closer to it she realised that it was a unicorn hair. But unicorn hair’s only came out once they had been killed. She panicked, whatever had killed the unicorn could still be in the forest, it could still be watching her. She took the unicorn hair and pushed into her pocket, then she heard it. She swivelled around slowly and cautiously and came face-to-face with the creature that had growled and, she guessed, had killed the unicorn. There was shining, silver unicorn blood all over the werewolves back and front paws, though there was nothing that suggested that it had fed on the poor animal.
Charlotte used her vast knowledge on magical creatures and guessed that the best thing she could do was remain as calm and still as possible, though this proved difficult when the werewolf began sniffing her face. After what seemed like an eternity, the werewolf grew bored of sniffing her and turned to walk away, Charlie took a step backwards and just had step on a twig. It snapped (clichè, much?) and the sound echoed in the small, enclosed collection of trees. The werewolf heard it and bared it’s teeth, Charlotte had no choice but to run. It tackled her over, and large black dog lept out of nowhere; at some point during the confusion Charlie was bitten.
Charlotte awoke in the Hospital Wing back up at the school several hours later, half of the Marauders’ were by her bedside, though Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew seemed to be missing. Charlotte understood why James Potter was there (he was Head Boy, they were good friends and he was somewhat protective of her) though she couldn’t quite understand why Sirius Black was sitting by her bed staring glumly at the floor. “Why am I in the Hospital Wing?” Charlie asked, though the second she had said it the events of the night came rushing back to her. “Erm, well, you were, um …” James began. “… bitten …” she finished softly. James nodded. She looked down at her body, she was covered in unicorn blood, human blood, and werewolf blood; along with a fair few scars. She figured that the wounds would have been closed up with magic, but they would never fully heal (as a werewolf inflicted them). After several more hours of just lying there, Charlotte was allowed to leave.
Along the way she ran into Remus Lupin (not literally), she was not her usual bubbly self and Remus could tell. He noticed she was covered in unicorn blood, as was he when he regained control over his body. She smelled different than she used to, she no longer carried the human-like scent but now it was … different. But when they caught eye-contact it was confirmed. Charlotte Vance was a werewolf. And Remus knew it. What he didn’t know, though, was that it was he who had caused his crush to become this way. As the days passed, Remus felt himself more and more attracted to Charlotte and was beginning to get more protective of her. He had figured out that the wolf in him had marked Charlotte as his mate, but how long will he wait to tell Charlotte that he was a werewolf too? When will they finally get together? And what will happen if they run into eachother on a full moon?
