As I said in the other thread, absolutely stunning piece of art.

Is it still digitally produced, does anyone know?

All of Neil's artwork is digital... his stuff for BL, anyway.

I have a pencil and ink sketch that he did of me, though. Very cool.

I think that's the point with the HH series; to give a balanced view for both sides. You can then decide how you feel about each primarch/legion.
Magnus was arrogant and paid the price, while others openly embraced the 'betrayal'.
It's good that BL is addressing the fans deep-rooted opinions of each legion and making you question what you thought before. Word Bearers, Alpha Legion & Raven Guard are more 3-dimensional now.

From Bowden's blog,

"It’s about 6:50am and I really need to crash to catch a few hours’ sleep. Betrayer is going well – going great, in fact, which is lucky since I’ve only got a month to finish it. ‘The Underworld War’ for The Mark of Calth anthology is winding up to completion, too. It’s about the Gal Vorbak left on Calth after Kor Phaeron flees, and they’re slowly coming to terms with the fact that Lorgar isn’t coming to save them. They’re trapped there. They’re going to die there. Night after night, the Word Bearers lose more men to Ultramarine guns."

So Mark of Calth is an antholgy of novellas, so i guess the same as The Primarchs. Wish we knew release date, it should be good.

Interesting!

With the Calth-specific title, does this mean all or more than one of the stories contained within will be WB/UM -centric?

I mean, the other anthologies were more generically titled;

Tales of Heresy, The Primarchs, Shadows of Treachery.

Just a thought!

Yeah, so this is happening...

Already confirmed publicly:

Graham McNeill - novella set on Calth, dealing with 'famous character'
Aaron Dembski-Bowden - short story
Gav Thorpe - Horus Heresy-era Titan battles, in audio drama

Someone asked me at Games Day, and I confirmed that it was correct - the guy in the cover artwork is Remus Ventanus.

Oi! Is this that book that was first only available in German?

But audiodrama? But is it still part of Mark of Calth, or a separate release?

Malika - ah yes, indeed! 'Honour to the Dead' (original English title, before translation) was indeed the GD Germany story. That was my suggestion. Hope y'all enjoyed it.

I'm very excited to see/hear Titans in audio. Plus, that story is just awesome. smile.gif

BigWill - 'Pariah' has been on pre-sale for a while at events. BL tends to get printed stock about three months before release, but the good chaps in Sales & Marketing don't let advance copies even go out to reviewers before the normal shipping dates.

Shh...don't be tempting him now! blink.gif

Can't wait for Pariah to come out by the way...it will probably drive me nuts for a while!

Shroud, you only do HH stuff (editing wise), or are you also working on BL's other projects? (just a totally random question here)

I'm the continuity editor for HH, plus I work with a whole list of authors on whatever projects they are doing. I also commission loads of fantasy and regular 40k too.

Stuff I have edited:
'Chosen of Khorne', half the stories for 'Treacheries of the Space Marines', 'The Crimson Fist', 'Brotherhood of the Storm', 'Prince of Crows', half the stories for 'Gotrek & Felix: The Anthology', 'Fear to Tread', 'Deliverance Lost', and 'Ravenwing' which arrives in January.

I also contributed a lot on 'Know No Fear' and 'Sword of Truth', as well as 'Grey Angel' and the forthcoming 'Burden of Duty'.

Well done Shroud. Now you are in that post I wonder if you can sort my only gripe in what is a wonderful series of book- Bolters. Bolters seem to differ vastly different in power and ability based on the book for example in 'Know No Fear' they use them to destroy a watch tower and the concussive force from and exploding bolt shell blows a marine out of cover yet in 'Deliverance Lost' The Raven Guard take cover from bolters behind canteen tables. It would be nice if all the people in charge could get together and set some rules for common weapons like these. I know authors like to use artistic licence but draws you from the story when you see the vast differences.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this! We're also making sure that all Space Marines have the same shoe size, and we're going to check with Alan Merrett to see what colour the interior walls of canteens should be painted, according to the Codex Astartes...

I think we should codify all such details. How many sheets of toilet paper are they allocated per bowel movement, for example? laugh.gif

I'm more concerned at the moment with people mistakenly thinking that power armour is made of ceramite...
