Finally the fate of the II. and XI. is revealed - but isn't it sad that two entire Legions had to be sacrificed just because someone told Malcador that his armrests were looking bland?

so is today's blog post by BL a reaction to the leak?

Another stunning piece of artwork from Neil Roberts, now is that the Sigillites mask on the chains at his feet i think i need to revisit Nemesis for some descriptions...

The one thing that bothers me about it is that Jim Swallow made such a point of telling people who were confused that it was a stylized 'eye' and it turns out that yeah.... it's stylized to look exactly like the inquisitorial 'I'...

Jim Swallow has said that it is an "eye" again today on twitter.

QUOTE
@blacklibrary Regarding the Sigillite art -" the 'I' that James Swallow talked about..."? Nope. It's 'Eye', not 'I'.

I am going to anticipate this one very much, having made the conversion to audio dramas only very recently. And dare I hope that there will be few more tantalizing hints or suggestions on the missing Legions (other than the cover, of course)?

IMHO they wont tell you how they was destroyed, the whole point of the lost legions is so we could make our own sleep.gif

BUT if they do I tax II to make tongue.gif

I'm miles behind on the novels now; I assume Russ mentions this in Prospero Burns?

Just an opinion (based on no evidence), but would the Emperor allow one of his sons to kill another son or even his legion? If Russ did previously do this, what did the Emperor expect would happen when he sent him to Prospero? We know that Horus tricked Russ en route, but what would Magnus be expected to do when he sees the Space Wolves descending from the sky.

Would it make more sense that several legions were involved in the destruction of a fellow legion? Could the two primarchs still be alive, in stasis?

Shroud: Could we get some small backstories (via ebooks) of some passed events please? The destruction of Olympia, the first Russ v the Lion fight. Small stories, that aren't moving the HH series along, but would be nice to see included.

Ramble over!! smile.gif

I echo Azkaellon's sentiment, in that it is Mr Roberts as we have come to know and love him. I can't for a second imagine that GW will reveal anything about the missing legions, but they've pulled momentous surprises out of their collective arses before now, so I'm going to sit tight and hope!

Small niggle... but the placing of that title banner blew my mind for a second. If you don't immediately notice there's a chair there (like I didn't), ol' chap Mal looks about two feet tall :S

well I have not read most HH books but I have read Prospero Burns and A Thousand Sons and I think the Emperor sent Leman to just retrieve Magnus. At that time they hinted I think on both books that space marine has battled space marine before(obviously hinting at the lost legions)

I would like to know that the primarchs are in statis on Terra somewhere smile.gif
