Long, long time lurker, first time finally posting some guys smile.gif. You have all inspired me a ton with your various work and I am now finally ready to post mine too!

I started these guys last year, but hit a dry spell early on, but luckily have got my motivation back the last few weeks and got through a bunch of guys!

I apologize now for the soso image quality. Never been that great at photos.

First up we have my Sternguard Vets. I went with a white helmet and red stripe for all of them. I know it might not be totally canon but I like the look of it. Some of the pictures are older, hence the non completed bases.

And my first of two dreads. The other is ready to start painting but is awaiting his base. I LOVE these models, my god what fun they are to build. Arms are magnetized.

Really good modeling nice use of the bits packs.
I'm digging the freehand markings especially the Templar cross.
If they are that shiny buy yourself some Testors Dullcote,it'll take that shine right off.

I think the white helmets need a light wash, they are a little too bright IMO.

Lastly from a fluffy standpoint I do not think the Fists used pyskers, going by how the Black Templars abhore them.
Could be an ally Psyker,Rubio perhaps I am sure he will end up on Terra during the siege.
But concrete has been said so fair game.

After months of slow slow work on these guys and other distractions, the troops are DONE! 20 marines of the Imperium's Finest finished! Except for their bases... thats next.

I've used mixes of Mk 4 and 5 armour as well as bits from the black templar upgrade set from GW, which is really nice for these guys I think.

I also went back and dirtied up my helmets on my vets, as they seemed to pristine for defending the walls of the Emperor's Palace!

My photo taking still sucks, though I think these turned out a little better than before. One day I will use a real camera..and proper set up. But for now, these will do I think!

Fantastic army! Congratulations on enduring the slow progress - you've done a great job.

I particularly like the battle damage, use of BT bits, and the glowing power fist.

Awesome. smile.gif

Thanks for the kind comments! Always a great motivator!

Here is a bit of work in progress of my assault termies. I am in "build mode" now, my favourite part! So expect to see a few WIP of my next guys coming up.

You might also notice Mr. Dorn in the background. Still deciding on how I will do his powerfist/claw thing.

This army is really great man biggrin.gif Great job so far biggrin.gif

I really like those termies, where did you buy those cataphratcii torsos? they look very interesting biggrin.gif I also really like those tartaros termies smile.gif

I think the captain model is great as well, I just think it's a shame that you made his face grill white as it's really hard to see his eyes smile.gif

Thanks artificer! Your work has actually been a big motivator and inspiration for me to work on my guys.

Good point about the face mask, I figured a captain outta be a veteran and a veteran wears white.

Next up is my terminator chaplain, bathed in the blood of heretics who dared violate The Emperors Palace! base is temporary.

I agree, a captain is usually a veteran by default, but I just personally think that being captain gives some liberties in customizing ones armour smile.gif

Btw is that the dozer blade pointy thingie from a proteus lying behind those termies?? biggrin.gif Is there some armour on the way?? ;D

I may go back later and paint his mask red actually. But its termi time for now!

There be an armoured proteous sitting right beside them!

Lord I spent like 2 hours sitting on FW's site trying to decide on armoued or normal..such a tough call. I love them both!

Awesome! biggrin.gif I bought my proteus before the armoured one came out, but I still think I'd have bought the regular one anyways biggrin.gif But the next tank I'm getting from FW is a Spartan biggrin.gif Gotta have a showy ride for Dorn tongue.gif

And red sounds like a good choice for the grill biggrin.gif

And here is my finished assault squad! Pretty happy with how they all turned out. As you can see they have been just as frenzied in purging the heretics as the Chaplain who leads them into battle.

Hope you enjoy them! This will probably be the only bloodied up in my army, but I think it looks swell on them. How many times have I read how bloodied up and covered in gore marines are once they close in so close. It just seemed right for the assault squad IMO.

Next up, more termies and the man himself, Dorn.

Wow, a nice amount of claret on those guys.. I wouldn't have wanted to be on the end of that hammer! user posted image

I love the gritty, dirty look on them in any case. Think you've done the right amount without doing too much (which is very easy to do, and then ruin the model!)

Great stuff ! user posted image

They turned out great biggrin.gif I would suggest taking more pictures without flash as they are way better than the ones taken with flash smile.gif

Thanks for the comments! Glad to hear I didn't go to over board with the blood, always a worry when doing that (they ain't World Eaters after all! laugh.gif )

Ya flash on camera deff seems to make it look funny. No more of that.

Next up, the Primarch himself, Rogal Dorn! I never liked that he holds his chainsword with his powerfist, so I replaced his fist arm, cut off the chainsword at the hilt so I could still use it, then used a chaos termie power fist, FW imp fist shoulder pad, and rebuilt the chainsword to hold in his pointing hand. It actually pops right in there without glue, so I might just leave it like that for the ease of transport (or if I wanna just use him pointing lol).

And here are my Tartaros terminators, not based yet though. These models are beautiful and I would love to do more of them. I will probably be taking a break from my fists for a bit while I wait to see how the FW heresy books start to pan out. I do have a land raider and 2 rhinos to finish off though which ill work on smile.gif.

This is the Crimson Fist Terminator strike squad.
