Fiction contest?

Just wondering 'Shroud if there is going to be a short fiction contest this year?

Hey guys - yes indeed, although at the moment I'm trying to sort out the details!

It's a couple of weeks later than we'd normally announce it, but we will indeed have the traditional annual fiction contest.

In fact, I need to get cracking on that PDF from last year...

I'd love to join in this time! What era will we cover this time? Last time it was more Heresy focussed, before it was more about the Crusade. What now?

The Age of Darkness book great as is was only barely scratched the surface of what went on during this period.
I say take the ball and run with it Countinue the Age of Darkness.

i'm in for this, more then likely expect another night lords story from me...again set during the crusade. of which what's the word limit on the new one?

It's entirely up to you what you write, there are no guiding themes!

It's always 1000 words. It makes it challenging to write, but still fun to read.

Any idea when we might get to look at some of the entries for this years contest?

Patience folks.

Last years took a while to appear too.

Granted there were twice as many entries, but the anticipation is half the enjoyment.

Apart from that I'm up second, and I don't want to see mine too soon as it was a bit of a rush job.

Must be patient... anticipation building...

Try being in my shoes to get any response to what I've written.....
Damn alphabetical order listing....

That said, I'm no where near happy with my entry this year.
I just didn't get the right sort of "feel" in it.... you'll see what I mean once you read it.

By the time we get to yours I'm just so bitter about how good everyone else is that I'm too busy a) crying b ) smaking my head with the keyboard or c) both, to comment.

But if it's any consolation, I hate how talented you are too.

As a change from the normal procedure, I'm going to post them in a completely random order. Ahriman is always first, and Yvraith always last, otherwise...

Sooooo does this mean we might see some stories soon?

& here I was thinking of changing my forum name to "aaYvraith" for 3 months or so of the year to get around my problem.....

Awesome, was getting a bit tired of the first story being released being one I wrote myself...though there was some honour in it.

I'm hanging out for this, was really impressed by the quality last year (and also want to see how my story stacks up, of course).

I would be interested to see how my entry faired amongst the others. Fingers crossed and all that.
