I've created this thread as I believe there is a need.
And I have the first two pieces of news.

GW have posted on their site a Janu-Waaagh!-ry Preview of the Ork stuff being released as part of Green January.
Ork Preview

And they've also released the Bitz and Collectors Catalogues as PDFs.
Catalogue PDFs

Here's the Bitz Direct Link.
And the Collector's Direct Link.

Discuss and add your own finds to the thread.

Found this on BOLS:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4nzgPbHlNo4/Sczv...tinel-sprue.jpg

It's a picture of the new Sentinel Sprue, and if you look you will that it has a Plasms Cannon, Missile Launcher, a Hunter/Killer Missile, an Autocannon, an optional armoured canopy (for the heavy Sentinel), and Multi-part legs which should open up the choice of positions.

Of course those who use Sentinel legs in their Dreadnought builds will also like this sprue as there's quite a few bits worth raiding it for.

P.S. Yesterday the GW and Indie shops in Sheffield got a Mysterious Black Box.
It had the New Hellhound Sprues, Demolisher Sprues, Ork Battlewagon Upgrade Kit and Hive City Tile in it.
I know this because I got a good look at them! wink.gif

Cheers for that Gagoc, I wonder when Planetary Empires will be released? They had a copy in my local GW the other day so presumably the things printed and waiting to be sold.

I found out that there was actually two demolishers in the Black Box.

Today I built the Hellhound as a Banewolf for my local Indie shop.
I've never built an IG tank before, but I built the Banewolf in about 1 1/2 hours.
The main difference between the new tanks and the old, is that there's no wheels. The tracks go on like SM tank tracks.

Now I've never built a chimera chassis before, but this one was easy as there were guiding lips for the pieces.
The floor of the chassis was split in two, with an alternative part for the rear section to make a shorter alternative vehicle. What, I don't know.
The hellhound sprue had a part that fitted over the upper front hull of the chimera chassis, and parts that fitted along the inside-back of the track units (took me a while to work that out).

The drums are an intersting design. They have no bottoms, but fit instead into a plate, and the lids with cap are designed to fit in one of two ways.
It's not quite as complex as it seems, and now I know the kit better I could probably assemble it faster.

As a thankyou the shop owner/manager gave me the spare bits, and the bits from the Demolisher he assembled that morning. He's also asking if I'd be interested in assembling the other Demolisher.

The GW order arrived in today at my friends shop, after looking for the box that had my sodding predator in I saw the mysterious black box, I grabbed it ran to the table and opened it up, two new russ support tanks and a hellhound amongst other things were in there. After running some errands for my mate, one of wich involved 120 tubs of icecream...

So after that I spent the rest of the afternoon building a punisher, I'm supposed to be going back to his shop tomorrow to build the hellhound and the other russ.
The only sad thing is that there isn't any pintle mounted weapons on the frame nor a dozer blade, oh well they were free, I can't bitch too much can I? smile.gif

I'm more than likely going to be getting myself one of the new russ, Just so I can really go to town on the kit and make it look stunning. I'm picturing a punisher with flamer sponsons with a catachan engineer squad hitching a lift on it. Tools and equipment thrown on the back, maybe a seccond punisher with strips of timber or metal sheeting on it for building materials...

Thanks for that news Gagoc and NeDlol. It's a shame there doesn't seem to be those accessories in the kits. Can you tell us what accessories are included? Or any pics? wink.gif

You get what the tank comes with, smoke launchers and a searchlight. I'm hoping they just forgot to put the accessory frame in the black box to be honest.

I was able to get the new GW water pot and paint pallet, and the Battlescape on Friday.

Anybody else got these?
What do you think of them?

Saw the palette yesterday and wasn't impressed. I bought one from an art supply store that has 10 wells and a huge mixing tray in the middle for 89p.

Didn't know about the water pot but does anyone really leave their brushes in water these days?

Yeah, surely that would rot the bristles and the glue within the ferrule?
