What program do you use? I think I would like to do stuff like this using Unity 3D and Blender on my school's computers.

I'm using Google Sketch up but added textures I've found online.

I'm pondering about learning photoshop/illustrator to make the models even prettier, we shall see...

I tweaked the model some more...

You should use Photoshop, as it's a bit easier to use than Illustrator. Good luck with this project!

Another model, a bit more steampunk influenced. I'm not going to render this one yet, I might try to do it once I got a better program for it. Sketch up has proven to be rather limiting...

I tried playing a bit with the styles on SketchUp. Not a real good solution yet, but it gives a nice atmosphere.

I also decided to take a few of the old models I did and give them the same treatment as the last couple of pictures. These will all become part of a series I've dubbed "Steampunk Urbanism".
