hi all,

I'm new to this forum in terms of posting but always kept a close eye on proceedings. I - like Sheep - have been modelling and converting models for well over 16 years and also a recent convert to the Horus Heresy series...

I have so far 1 squad of Sons which are not fully painted but here is a pic below to get us started. If you can offer me any tips whatsoever I'd be more than appreciative!

They look like a good start mate, but I think they look more like Luna Wolves then Sons, they are really light, it might be the photo though. . .

Also you've unfortunately missed a couple of moldlines on the heads sad.gif

What do you have planned for the army?

Thanks, just clearing up the mistakes here and there and the colour now.
The colour itself I think is very debated and have seen many variations of this "light sea green" colour the books refer to. I've seen some really dark versions and colours lighter than my own, but looking back at the picture they do look extremely grey...

I only noticed the mouldlines when I took this picture and the light picked it out so out comes the scalpel...

As well as this squad I plan on another tactical squad, with a little more life about it and more conversion work, a squad of terminators, assault squad and some devastators as I really like the forgeworld heavy weapons. I really like the contemptors so maybe one or two of them as well!

I'm going to Games Day this year with a few £ to spend on some forgeworld items... but plan on having a "legal" army by then!
