Welcome to the new pre-Heresy boards!

As you can see, there are a few differences in the way things are laid out... if you have any suggestions on how we can improve, please make them known.

Anyway, for those of you who don't know me from the old boards, my name is Laurie and I'm a film producer with an unhealthy pre-Heresy obsession! I'm from Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire (UK) and I'm collecting World Eaters and Imperial Army troops at the moment.

Cheers!

I'm Ith, real name is Kamil. The location is Munich, Germany, and I'm currently studying media design & IT, working as a freelance web- and printdesigner, and illustrator. I'm building and painting a World Eaters Army... as soon as I find the time again to actually work with all that stuff I buy. Studying keeps kicking my ass at the moment.

Hey guys! I'm Horus Aximand, your loveable moderator from the old forums.

But really I'm called Jonathan, and I'm currently preparing for my exams. I am aiming ti become a graphic designer of sorts, but where, I don't quite know.

I have a sizeable force of Blood Ravens for 40k, and for PreHeresy gaming I was intending on building a Luna Wolf army, but now I am considering some form of Truescale army. Possibly Alpha Legion...

I got all sorts of Power Amoured armies Post-Heresy (DIY Chapter, Black Templars, Blood Angels), Some points of PH Thousand Sons, and currently building up PH Ultras and Dark Angels!

Oh yeah, and I'm from Paris, France (you lucky guys don't have to bear with my french accent on the net wink.gif )

Hey guys it's Esinhorn from the old boards.
I'm dropping that name in favor of BigWill.
My name is Roy (j/k it's William) and I've been collecting and painting Warhammer 40k since 1st edition but took a 10 yr break when I joined the Navy and getting my life set up.
I picked the hobby back up 2 yrs ago when I was toying around with the idea to try to get some original artwork published and picked up the new 4th edition To get ideas and bought the painters starter kit to see if it was still fun.
The rest is History biggrin.gif

Hi again everyone. Yes, that's right, the horribly long-winded GreyWolf is here now.
Anyway, I currently play Luna Wolves for Pre-Heresy, and Black Legion for regular 40k. Been playing and painting for about four years now. Real name's Dennis, and I'm an Amercian from northern Virginia. About ready to go off to college, so don't be surprised if I disappear in a few months (ROTC and all that's going to be a bit time consuming). The new boards look "fresh" and hopefully this will help our little community free itself from the stagnation that was beginning on the old board. Good to be here.

EDIT: Now that I've had the chance to look around a bit, I would like to say that I liked the old forum's use of a seperate forum for each Legion; it kept things more organized. I know its not a problem at all now (we've only got 18 members), but I can envision it becoming problematic in the future.

Hello, I'm... Mithras... from the old Forum. Huge shock there.

Pre-Heresy projects on the table include Death Guard and Ultramarines.

My name is Alex. I'm 30 years old, and I'm currently working on getting my PHD in Archaeology. I have focused on the Romans and Mithraism, lately, but more generally I'm broadly interested in religion, warfare, and cross-acculturation up through the Middle Ages.

In my non-academic vein, I do a lot of writing, and game design (board games and miniatures games). I hope to become more involved in the gaming industry in the near future. I would love to have a crack at writing one of the HH Novels. Also do a lot of miniature wargaming (both sci-fi/fantasy and historical) and even some roleplaying.

(And this despite some unpleasant experiences with big name game companies you've heard of who talk me up, propose a job, and then, at the last minute, forget who I am.)

I currently live in Southern California, and have lived in the UK (which I wouldn't mind doing again, some day).

-M.

Hullo!
I'm Gary. I've been into 40K since '88. I've never built a proper army before, but I'm working on one now. It's an army made up of a mix of Loyalists from the Traitor Legions, this is so I can play it in either a 30K or 40K campaign.
I live in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

I'm wondering where I can post the Formative armour and other background articles I have. And eventually a possible guide to converting most forms of Astartes armour.
Does anyone know if there'll be any further developments to the structure of this board?

Hey everyone i'm Drew. I'm 19 and from Wolverhampton.

I've been into 40k for about 3/4 years now and have been into pre-heresy stuff for about 1 or 2 years. I've always been more of a fluff guy but i'm now trying to get the modelling and painting side going with an eye to eventually getting some games in.

I'm currently collecting Black Templars for 40k and Pre-Heresy Ultras and Luna Wolves. Might throw a few Dark Angels in as well. Just for the hell of it.

Hey everyone!

I used to be "I_AM_CANADIAN!" from the old board, buuuuuut I thought it was time for a change so now I use this name which is Old Norse for shrieking blade. smile.gif My real name is Samantha and I'm from Canada (kind of a give away with the whole "I_AM_CANADIAN!" thing laugh.gif ). But yeah, I love 30k fluff and have a thing for Warhammer humor laugh.gif . I enjoy science and languages; currently I am learning Old Norse. I speak German pretty well and just the tiniest bit of Swedish. Anyways, I hope I'll have just as much fun here as I did on the old board!

I'd say throw it into the Space Marines forum AND the Q&A for now. If we think of a better place, we can move it later...

Absolutely - you guys are the owners, I'm just the caretaker! biggrin.gif

Tell me what you want, and I'll see what I can magic up.
