I trust the Gedren event was a success and everyone had a good dose of the Pre-Heresy fun that we all crave for. Sadly I couldn't attend, though I would have liked to! The next known organised event of this nature is Tempus Fugitives' Siege of Terra in May. That's 7 months away. While I am striving to build and paint my forces for this event, I feel like I am wishing my life away just waiting for it to happen. I know there's rumblings of more events to be run by the TGC and affiliates in the future, but I'd like to bring such a discussion to the public. Particularly as I am a member of said public For certain, I would like to see and attend more events. Whether they are TF/TGC driven or just a gathering of fellow gamers who share the interest. The obvious stumbling blocks are time and location. Something as grandeur as a TF event held at WHW gathers enough people and prestige that you all travel from afar to attend. Gedren has shown that smaller events can also draw in members from afar, so the will is definitely there and it can only grow stronger! On a personal level, I am able to provide my club's venue in Tamworth (Staffordshire) on Saturdays for an all-day event. I am sure there are various other sites, including the obvious Warhammer World (Nottingham) and Games Shop (Aldershot). This is really just to start an open discussion with a few seeded questions - do you want to see more events and meets? How far and frequently would you travel?

The Gedren Prime event was an amazing success in my opinion so i would definately be up for any more meetups that there are in the future...
I think that Shroud will run another official event but im not sure on how often he intends on these being run. I think he and Titus Pullo will pobably need some rest after all of the time spent on this one!
I think the key to getting people to travel is to have a really strong idea of how everything is going to be planned out, and for it to be a two day event with a bit of a social in the middle. It doesnt need to be a full on campaign ike Gedren was for a meetup for some games but I guess you need to make sure that you are getting 'value for travel'. I think the social is an important bit too as it gives you the chance to talk about stuff away from the table, and... erm, drink loads of beers!
I've got no trouble coming to Warhammer World or to Tamworth for a weekend but I probably couldnt do it for a day. I guess the same would be said for you guyscoming down south! In terms of frequency, as often as I can!
Is SoT really 7 months away!!? We need to do something before that!!!

Exactly. Sometimes I worry that after the next 2 TF events (2 events in 12 months!) a lot of the custom stuff I've built will be sulking over what to do next. I know most of you are willing to do more and I think it's pretty much a certainty that Shroud will maintain running events in the future. Interesting you highlight 2 days and understandable for the longer distance too. I will of course find out if my local venue is available - not having looked into Sundays before as we have permanent storage and room on the 1st floor of a church. Yes, we have to refrain from screaming Khorne chants if there are other people in the church, but they do make lovely bacon sarnies on Saturday mornings

Learnings from Gedren event seem to be for a story line event (or anything more organised than just a gaming session) then organisers must know who is coming and what army they are bringing. I think me and the shroudmeister will be very happy with a few 'gaming session' events as a bit of R&R which also being a bit more informal mean a bit more time for a socialness too. (Mr Gate and myself were pretty Imperial Army-ed out by 3.00 on Saturday.)

I'd be up for being involved in this. I third the use of our club being a good idea.

Depending on the location I be up for another event. The fluff from the Gedren event left it open for a sequel. I may also have time to do some converting - (Not the Emperor kind )
