There's a few in collected visions, notably wolf scouts.

I can't say there's much difference!

There are a few pics, for several different legions.

Off the top of my head, there are two instances of World Eaters scouts looking very much like the RT-era mohican scouts, and one where they look more like the newer sniper scouts.

There are also Emperor's Children scouts looking just like the newer regular scout minis.

Basically, just do anything you like! laugh.gif

I was thinking of using the second revision mohican scouts.. like the ones that appeared in space crusade and early 2nd editon. Anyone have pics of these from the old art?

I know there were pics of the ultra version in space crusade and blood angers in the rulebook i think.

So I got some nice clean examples off ebay (although i suspect they may be counterfeit re-casts) but I don't like the heads that are on them. I wanted to give them the rebreather-like thing you see on some scouts. Any suggestions?

Also, what in the world are those plates on their chests? Name tags?

Here are my Space Wolf scouts - they are veterans for Space Wolves as new recruits become Blood Claws straight away.

Dunno if it means anything, but some legions like the Space Wolves, Ultramaries and Thousand Sons used Recon Squads, which were basically Astartes armed with lasguns and lighter weaponry. Seems like they fulfilled a scout-ish role.

There is also a picture of an Ultramarines recon squad, and two of Thousand Sons recon squads. Check the HH artbook for them.
