Hi all. Now that Forge World are officially making Heresy miniatures ,do you think they will resurect the robots GameWorkshop issued in the early eighties.

Hi callmeishmael,

I very much hope so! Considering they've been mentioned quiet heavily in source material, especially in the First Heretic, I doubt they could get away with excluding them ;-)
I've actually been hunting the epic versions of them down on the net, and they certainly add a unique twist to our games (I've been using an adapted version of the old decision tree the WH40K minis used to have). I always thought the original models didn't do justice to the idea of the 5 classes, but considering the direction their design team has gone with the new range I'm sure they could make them suitably imposing/vicious/shooty-looking... :P

I hope so too.

Imperial robots are also mentioned in Angel Exterminatus.

To me, the Castellan looks like it's based on the same basic chassis as the Contemptor Dreadnought (and the old fluff mentions interchangeable tech) so I'd love FW to start by bringing out Castellans, which would only require a minimal resculpt.

I believe this is one Adeptus that has been neglected for far too long! Forge World could actually do the Legio Cybernetica some justice by releasing some up-to-date Imperial Robot models for our Pre-Heresy armies!
