Title: Is the Galactic Map the Milky Way?

BigWill - October 23, 2012 03:07 AM (GMT)
I was just wondering how the 40k Galatic map fits with the Milky Way.
Is the Imperium all of the Milky Way or just a small portion?

The Milky Way is our galaxy... and that is the Imperium. They're one and the same.

Thanks
So in all reality the Imperium is Itsy bitsy.
So that Dornian Heresy Nonsense is possible beyond the event horizon.
Opens up a WR of the Worlds scenerio if you ever were so inclined.
Wonder where the Greys fit in,or did the Emp already smack them down?
Have you guys figured out what is near Orion's Belt?

Off track: I just found out about the Event Horizon( I did not see the vid) and the theory behind it is mind blowing.
Even more so a Mathematican/scientist figured out that your complete cellular makeup is going to repeat itself exactly(think of a million monkeys writing skakeshpere).

There are multiple exact clones of you out there in the universe, they just lie beyond the event horizon,so we will never meet them.

Here's something I thought everyone might enjoy, a galactic map of the "Imperius Dominatus" circa M.31. Enjoy!

Ahh, straight out of the HH rulebook... :)

I remember the day Alan Bligh and I sat down in the GW canteen with a huge roll of paper and drew that thing out for the first time!

Did you use pints to keep the ends from curling up ? ;)
Is that blemish near the eastern fringe really a water ring?

Outstanding map by the way! Really answers a lot of questions and clears up a few things about locations and certain events that occurred during that bygone era! Only had to wait two decades, but worth the wait! :D

Shroud, does "finding of the lost son" show the home planet of a lost primarch?

Who knows...? :D

I wondered if it was just where they found Alpharius... but it could equally apply to one of the missing two, as well.
