Title: Any have 2nd and 3rd edition hardcover rulebooks

BigWill - June 19, 2012 01:54 PM (GMT)
I need these two so I can put them all on a bookshelf I would like to put up.
Then I would have all six versions of the rules,I think it would look cool in my hobby room.
Does anyone have an old 2nd and 3rd edition of the rulebook they would like to sell for a reasonable price?

Did just get the 5th ed. for $15! On ebay of course!

I've got a single rulebook from the old starter-set witht he blood angel marines and the orks and gretchins...I think it's 2nd edt? However, it's not hardcover, but PM me if you're interested.

Thanks Dullmohawk but I am looking for hardcovers.
Thanks anyway my man ;)

I have a 3rd edition with the hardocover slip case that is still sealed in it's original shrink wrapping.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Please bear in mind I'm in the UK, so shipping is likely to be high as it's a heavy book!

Cheers

Will, I may have 3rd here in the US, can check if you're still looking...

Also, the 2nd edition books were softback. I don't think they came in hardback, only softback in the boxed set. Certainly I never saw otherwise. Might have a copy of some of the books here (from memory there were two or three books in the boxed set).

Magos is indeed correct, 2nd ed was never hardback, only the 3 softbacks in the boxed game.

Rulebook - Crimson Fists a la RT cover
Codex Imperialis - Box cover art
Wargear Book (IIRC) - same as the RT era wargear book with the weapons rules in it.

Cheers

I have yet to find a true hardcover on ebay of the 3rd edition.....they seem like they are semi-hard. That didn't sound right  but I think you get my meaning!

It was only ever a softback book, but there was a limited run initially that had a hardcover slip case, akin to some if the linked FW books.

It was the first if the hardcover books, iirc, before fantasy had a separate hardback book.

And it was available the same day as the boxed game. Ah, the halcyon days....

Hope that helps

Wait so did third come in hardcover?
If not
Magos do you have the slipcase?
If not then I am interested in cloudrunners.

Info is good to know otherwise I would of waited a real long time before I found one on E-bay

I worked at GW UK for the release, and as far as I recall, it was only ever as a large softback. You got the same book in the box set and it was available as a limited run in the hard slip case.

Of course, there's nothing to say other countries didn't get a hardback, but I think it's unlikely, as they would have shown up before.

Cheers

Yeah, I don't think I have the slipcase version (I don't tend to buy special editions) so it must be the oversized softback.
