A few of you will have seen this online, or at BL Live earlier this year... that's PERTURABO AND FULGRIM kicking some pansy eldar butt. Win.

Awesomesauce :D Are those Alaotic Wraithlords? The OSL makes it hard to spot, and ive always wanted an army of those! (Fitting into fluff is a bonus)

Great cover.
I got excited that there was a Primarchs Helmet finally until I saw Fulgrim in the background.
What I would'nt give to see Neil have a go at all the Primarchs Helmets in a Row or something

Well we already know that Primarchs don't need to wear a helmet, even in space! :) (I loved Abnett's little tongue-in-cheek comment regarding that in Know No Fear).

Awesome piece of art again, I love how in the blown up version it looks like Perturabo is looking straight at the viewer.

It looks good, shame my eyesight is going, as I can't make out the rest!! B)

Glad that Perturabo finally gets a proper mention; it's just a shame that his downfall wasn't covered earlier on in the series. Also nice that the Eldar are involved again as they're also a pivotal part of the time.

We all know what Fulgrim does to the Eldar, so bet on him in a fight!

Neil Robert's seems to be churning out these every other week; is he half Energizer Bunny?

Also, is Fulgrim to new face of Andrex?!!... I preferred the puppy!!

The Phoenician in the BACKGROUND? Really? :D

Makes me want to pull out my model of him immediately, give him a cape like that and go kick some @ss!

Having read "The Primarchs", Angel Exterminatus appears to have connections to Fulgrim as well as to Ferrus Manus. But how in the hell is Perturabo involved... ?

Does anyone have some nuggets of information that I do not? Or is it simply too early to ask?

ShroudFilm - May 13, 2012 09:55 PM (GMT)
At BL Live, it was hinted that this was a story about Perturabo, rather than "Fulgrim +1"...

In terms of release date and series chronology - it comes out VERY soon after 'Shadows of Treachery' which contains the novella 'The Crimson Fist', which we know has Perturabo and the Iron Warriors in it.

Yeah heard that too, but as of now we only have hints that Fulgrim and Ferrus are going to be involved. Very interested to see how Perturabo is going to fit in there.

Ferrus? Ferrus is dead...

Markus Krell - May 14, 2012 11:40 AM (GMT)
Could it be something to do with Forgebreaker? In the old fluff, it was Perturabo's hammer, given to him by Horus, prior to the destruction of Olympia. However, in the novel Fulgrim, Fulgrim makes it, gives it to Ferrus Manus and then takes it after 'dispatching' him at Istvaan, so I would surmise that he gives it to Perturabo.

Shroud: We know he's dead, but he'll still be around wink-wink - don't want to say too much and spoil it for those not-in-the-know!

Brother-Captain Basilus - May 14, 2012 01:15 PM (GMT)
What had the creature said?
Angel Exterminatus.
Ferrus understood the words but not their meaning.

It was a promise, a prophecy.

I guessed that would make him being involved somehow... dead or not.

ShroudFilm - May 14, 2012 01:17 PM (GMT)
Oh, well I hadn't thought of it in those terms. I'll refrain from speaking on the matter any more, then! :D

Noserenda - May 15, 2012 10:52 PM (GMT)
Ill admit i was kinda hoping for Ferrus getting duplicated in some Eldar tomfoolery in The primarchs, meaning the real Ferrus was still alive, awesome twistage. Still the rest of the book was superb :)

Inquisitor Hourn - October 21, 2012 01:16 PM (GMT)
If you go onto the Black Library website and read the short extract posted there, Ferrus is mentioned. But since this is after his death, it's more of a mention of him in times past. There was a hint (I'll try and find the link ASAP) that the Angel Exterminatus was actually found or heard of first by Ferrus who, being good friends with Fulgrim, told him about it.

So it may be that, since Fulgrim has offered Perturabo a chance to find it, the entire chain of events was actually started by Ferrus' first discovery.

Pacific - October 21, 2012 01:23 PM (GMT)
The only thing certain is that from this point henceforth 'Angel Exterminatus' should always be written as ANGEL EXTERMINATUS (exclamation marks optional). If possible, the haunting operatic music from 'The Omen' that appears every time the child does something evil should be playing in the background during the use of ANGEL EXTERMINATUS.

New TGC ruling :D
