I started working with sketch up again, and something different than a city! I started working on some robots...

Maybe they could inspire a sculptor, or maybe we could convert them into a file suitable for a 3d printer. Well...at the moment they are just concepts. They have two types of heads and are either armed with a close combat weapon (industrial tool to carry large pieces of metal which can easily crush rocks/bones/etc) or a RPG/shotgun like weapon, or even both of each type as you can see on the pictures.

Looking good so far,I would make the feet bigger though maybe like a dreds for stability.

I won't be working on these anymore, probably start on a new one in a bit. When looking back at the picture I was first so proud of the legs, now I really dislike them. Should have made the lower legs chunkier and the feet somewhat bigger.

Those would be be fairly intimidating in a fight. Who uses them? Aren't robots forbidden in the thirty first millennium?

The Legio Cybernetica uses robots. Furthermore there could be non-Imperial factions that use robots. Just because it's a robot doesn't mean it's AI. ;)

Aye, it's the Iron Men who are forbidden.

Were servitors widely used in 30k or did they come along later?

malika - June 3, 2011 03:38 PM (GMT)
Servitors were used the whole time. However, note that servitors are basically lobotomized humans with extensive bionics. They have nothing to do with robots, artificial intelligence, and all that.
